@Jamiehanratty Whaaat..... Read the whole thing shaking my head at how unnecessary it was for them to do that. Stress for no reason. The Azure line had me in stitches though ๐คฃ
@rauchg Reverse the workflow by taking on a percentage of interesting/challenging tasks manually and having AI peer review your output. The slower pace on some tasks (esp critical features) is the long term investment to avoid atrophy.
Codex 5.3 is on another level. Only just started using it but I've optimised a complex component in a few mins that would've taken days manually. Using prior models with this level of complexity failed but 5.3 nailed it.
For the time being AI coders will need a good working knowledge of code in order to be most effective; but that need is going to recede as the models improve. But code is the least of the skills that a good programmer needs. Problem solving, system thinking, product awareness, and structural competence have always been more important than coding; and those skills are more important than ever.
@adrianatortja Working backwards can often reveal the path you need to take. Want to build a fluent interface with the builder pattern? Write out a statement using this builder as if it already exists, then build to make it functional.
This reveals dependencies & encourages TDD.
@FredFerraro @TahmohPenikett As much as I enjoyed the miniseries, it wasn't as gripping as '33' and beyond. Also, too long for newbies imo. Whenever I recommended BSG to newcomers, most stopped at the miniseries for these reasons. I would always respond with: 'it gets SO much better! Watch 33!'
#Winamp have announced they're open sourcing their player on the 24th of Sept 2024.
So much nostalgia associated with this player, I must have tried every skin available.

@gabriel__xyz Thanks! It's a speaker that's built into the monitor stand. It just so happens the gap between the bar and the monitor is a perfect fit for my phone ๐
