@BleacherJeff@BuschBangs Can we at least agree on the fact the Happ is terrible from the right side and has significantly less power? His gold glove status helps his metrics, but I’d sacrifice a lesser glove for more power and a higher average.
@BleacherJeff@BuschBangs He did have a good at bat which resulted in a 2-run 2-out hit. That's the 1.6 chance out of 10 that justifies his (now soaring) .185 average with RISP this season. Let's not put him in the Hall just yet.
@BleacherJeff Let me help you get unconfused. He's hitting .178 with runners in scoring position this year, but don't let the facts get in the way of a good post, https://t.co/sAuvW0SLmZ
@BleacherJeff I bet the Cubs could resign Conforto for a fraction of what Happ will want and platoon him against righties and start Alcantra against lefties.
@BleacherJeff I think just because he tosses a baseball and $100 your way once a year, it might be clouding your judgement. It’s not just money you’d pay him. It’s that money vs. other options available in the open market. Put the Happ money toward pitching and give Alcantara his chance.
@BleacherJeff You are correct. However, Happ fails a lot more in the clutch than everyone else. I’d take Happ back for about 5 mil a year (which he’d never accept) and hit him 8th.
