*deep breath*
I don’t think I’ll ever write Byler again. I’m sorry. I said everything I needed to say about those two and ST with Supervoid, and that’s the end of my journey.
I never say never but for this, especially with my irl writing career, it seems right to say. 🤍🫶🏼
❤️🕷️🕸️ yeah!! 3x!!! all my spider-man tattoos are out in display when i go to the theater
& yeah, i’m poking at a spideychelle/petermj fic based right after BND 😳 Idk if i’ll ever post it, but it’s sooo interesting to explore that angsty buzz.
they’re one of my forever OTPs.
I’ll link in replies to a previous (happier?) list but here are some more:
Martyr! - Kaveh Akbar
TSHoEH - Taylor Jenkins Reid
I Who Have Never Known Men - Jacqueline Harpman
Call Me By Your Name - André Aciman
1984 - George Orwell
Dune - Frank Herbert
Keep writing!! 🤍
I will link my previous answers to this below!!
But I recently read The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig and found the prose to be lovely. And I reread:
- Game of Thrones series (classics in my opinion)
- The Iliad
- Dracula
I also read a lot of poetry!
THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE OMG 🥺 these are my most reread:
Light Bringer (entire RR series tbh) - Pierce Brown
Howl’s Moving Castle - Diana Wynne Jones
Six of Crows - Leigh Bardugo
Children of Time - Adrian Tchaikovsky
The Secret History - Donna Tartt
Pride and Prejudice (of course)
who’s navigating it.
4. carry a notebook or have a notes app handy to jot down ideas and details through the day, everywhere you are.
5. truly and honestly FORCE yourself to show up every single day.
6. write small
7. if your plot or writing sounds like writing, rewrite it
of course 🤍
1. READ. read classics. read books completely outside of your genre
2. follow structure breakdowns, but don’t get attached to specifics
3. know your protagonist’s wants, fears, traumas, and let them run (or ruin) the show. plot is cool, but ppl really care about ⬇️⬇️
hi 🤍 if u mean promoting fics, i don’t have much experience, but here’s my advice:
1. the content of the fic itself is the promo. write something people haven’t seen, even if its part of a loved trope
2. a GOOD SUMMARY matters. snippet + blurb = good
3. post a graphic/link+blurb
hi loves 🫶🏼🥹 these mean so much to me. this app is volatile, but not all is bad—i’ve even taken friendships to instagram, and i’m a very private person, so that’s a big deal!! i’m thankful for that.
please feel free to dm me, i will respond asap. thank you for being so kind 🤍
life updates UHHHH accidentally became important at work again, discovered a new allergy, cut out processed sugar from my diet, hugged my cats, smooched my bf 1 million times, cried over the legend of zelda and deadlines, read a bunch of books. i’ve been managing well!! 🤍
