I don’t speak of this often but listening to Nigel Farage in tonight’s debate I must.

My dad was an immigrant. From the moment he arrived in this country he worked hard every day in labouring jobs. My most vivid recollection is of his tired & weary eyes and oil stained overalls when he came home after a 12 hour factory shift. Even then he was able to raise a smile for us. He was kind & gentle & loved my mum with passion. He raised a family of 4 & instilled in each of us a fierce sense of right & wrong & love of country. His proudest day was when he became a British citizen. I recall him with love & affection & pride & carry the lessons he taught me in my heart every day. If it were not for my dad I would not be a lawyer today & in his memory I work hard everyday to make a difference for as many as I can. Immigration is a beautiful thing & don’t let charlatans like Farage tell you otherwise ❤️

Donald Trump vowed to reverse dozens of the Biden administration's environmental rules and policies at a meeting with top U.S. oil executives, where he also asked them to raise $1 billion for his presidential campaign, the Washington Post reported on.

Trump, this lunatic, this mad-man, is now looking at destroying years of hard work on environmental protection and fighting global warming.

In essence Trump's plan would successfully dismantle Biden's climate legacy and it would likely end any global hopes of keeping global warming below 1.5C.

This would be catastrophic for the Planet.

BREAKING: Donald Trump get devastating news as Democrats formally launch a probe into his shockingly corrupt request to major oil companies for $1 billion in campaign cash.

But it gets even better...

Democratic star Congressman Jamie Raskin sent a letter to the CEOs of eight massive energy companies and oil lobbyist groups that attended a secretive Mar-a-Lago dinner with Trump.

According to reports, Trump asked for the $1 billion at the dinner and pitched it as a great "deal" for the companies since he'd be able to slash regulations and taxes to boost their profits.

In his letter, Raskin condemned the meeting as an "unvarnished quid pro quo offer."

Raskin also took aim at a Politico report which stated that the oil industry is already writing executive orders for Trump to sign if he wins. Raskin wrote that the companies "may have already accepted or facilitated Mr. Trump’s explicit corrupt bargain."

Raskin requested that the companies hand over any information on discussions about campaign contributions from the dinner and all policy documents that have been prepared for Trump to sign.
