@Chaos_Cards Gengar. Just a classic, the design is perfectly tuned to make the most out of minimal linework, and it’s remained ever-appealing and charmingly scary all these years.

Bad Apples (★★★1/2) – Has an either-or premise, but it rides it out to a very strong end result, between its tonal handling, biting satire, bleak comedy, strong debuts by the lead child actors, and Ronan's dramatic chops perfectly attuned to this bleakly funny role. (1/2)
Ashleigh Ball, the voice of Rainbow Dash and Applejack, has revealed that she was diagnosed with stage IV triple-negative breast cancer in August of last year.
She says she remains determined to keep fighting the illness.
It breaks my heart that original animated films just can't seem to catch a break these days. I get the reasoning, awfully expensive to take the whole family out to the flicks and "not worth the risk" when your children aren't begging because they know the property. But still.
LAIKA’s ‘Wildwood’ is tracking for a domestic opening weekend of just $6M–$10M, Box Office Pro reports.
• Estimated budget of $100M
• Would mark one of the lowest openings for an animated film in 2026
I still remember seeing this teaser in front of Ratatouille and being absolutely _spellbound_. Befitting such an enchanting, magical, transformative piece of cinema.
…God, I miss the era of unique teaser trailers for movies in general, but especially Pixar movies. 😢
When it comes to Pixar teaser trailers, Wall-E teaser trailer felt really unique. It started off as a trailer for a documentary of Pixar but then it transition to a new movie named Wall-E.
Are you feeling lucky?! I'm giving away a $70 worth of #Nintendo Gift Card to a random person! 🎁

Watched on September 26th 2026 for Alternate Ending Fill Your Blind Spot, Post-Apocalyptic Edition, full review on Letterboxd. (2/2) https://t.co/iQR6oH5OEb
Beneath the Planet of the Apes (★★★) – A cheap sequel made for fast studio money with many choices typical of such films, yet also a passionate, demented showcase of pulp sci-fi nihilism. Limited appeal if one doesn't like weird sci-fi, but worth a watch within that. (1/2)
@rachel_reviews Hearing the news a bit late – amazing stuff, Rachel! Would have been a massive shame to not see your videos, they’ve been on my feed for so long. So stoked you got your account back! Can only imagine how nerve-wracking the experience was.
While it's fun to shit on Katzenberg, you can tell that something was off about the Renaissance features after he left and with Eisner in charge
This excerpt from Tony Bancroft's interview regarding his experience on co-directing Mulan is VERY telling
Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (★★★1/2) – Feels almost like the platonic ideal of a short film/webseries where so mani disparate elements come together. Locked-in cast, calibrated corny songs and the right humour make it a great time capsule of early internet videos. (1/2)
Whisper of the Heart (★★★★) – A seemingly unassuming teen coming-of-life story given remarkable heft in both the screenplay and the direction, with the Ghibli touch leading to a smug, intimate honestly. The "Country Roads" song runner especially works amazingly. (1/2)
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom (★★★) – Feels like a Shaun half-hour tv special expanded to 73 mins, not just in plotting but the way the thing's filmed and shot, plus visual refinement of the gags. Diverting and amusing, even pleasurable, but disappointing. (1/2)
