@bbigelis@frogglue@AngryMariners Yeah. Gives you a force out. It gives you a better matchup with a right handed battery on deck. So yeah... common sense
@rhett1347@KingMandr1ll@MarineLayerPod Again, probably a poor decision to take it to the bag himself. But it's just the story y'all wanna spin so there's no point in trying to provide a different perspective
@rhett1347@KingMandr1ll@MarineLayerPod Poor decision to keep the ball? Probably. He tries to avoid the contact after he's already committed. If he were trying to run McGonigle over, he would have put his shoulder down to brace for impact. Keep trying to push a narrative that isn't there. Not malicious. It's baseball.
One day after Max Muncy and Ildemaro Vargas collided at 1B in Arizona, Kevin McGonigle and Josh Naylor had a similar run-in. Thankfully this one wasn't head-on, and both players seem OK.
@KingMandr1ll@MarineLayerPod The slide was in response to getting thrown at his dome. There are collisions and near collisions at 1B almost daily, I'd chalk that up to incidental. I have my own opinion on the sliding mitt, but does that really warrant a 95+ MPH FB to the dome? A little excessive IMO
How rare was Byron Murphy's 2025 season?
Here are pass rush metrics for every DT since 2010 who played at least 100 snaps at A gap (NT).
He is in rarified air, and was a year younger than Fletcher Cox and 2 years younger than Dexter Lawrence when he did it.
@SeahawksForever They've been too worried about the feelings of their aging vets. If they have WS aspirations like they claim they do, they will put Castillo in the pen and move JP off of SS. It's really that simple. Gotta make these tough business decisions.
