@Solidrev I know we’re mentioning Skill Up again, but he mentioned there not much of a story being an issue…brother, it’s E Day lol. There have been five other mainline entries. How much of a story are you expecting in a prequel game with characters and an event we already know all about?
@MattThompson87 1215 total yards in ACC play, and 482 (40%) came in the game against us. Also, consider they’ve been shut out in the second half of all three of those ACC games, and there was a lot of garbage time and 2nd string defenses in those games them as well…
@JaredHalusCFB No such thing as a “rebuild year” in the era of NRL, especially when we have as much funding going into our program. It was a “reload year.” Go out and replace the guys you lost.. After watching what Cignetti had done at Indiana, I never want to hear “rebuild year” again.
@michaelgbaron Same with Chandler Simpson. You look at this screenshot and you probably think he’s one of the worst hitters in the league. Hit .295 as a rookie last year and is hitting .309 coming into today and 2nd in the league in stolen bases. Need more of these players.
@Kelly_Quinlan It’s absurd how good he is, but he should not be running in between the tackles 20+ times a game. Get him outside and for the love of God, utilize Holsey more. We hardly ever have any two RB sets.
@TechManGT@TalkinACCSports You’re basing his success on how many touchdowns he’s given up to an FCS opponent? He has not been impressive. All three teams we’ve played have done nothing but run the ball, and he refuses to adjust. 171 rush yards and we’re not even through Q3 against Mercer is embarrassing.
@SouthRecruiting They would likely be getting shut out if this wasn’t Mercer. Holsey and Haynes are a combined 19 carries for 62 yards. Almost zero success on short yardage runs.
@YeahISedIt_54@GeorgiaTechFB I’ve gotta ask… Did we forget to order gray jerseys or did UA just not make them for us? Gray on gray looked solid last year. Heck, grey on gold would’ve looked awesome, but gold on gray is just odd…
@collegespu It wasn’t the ideal play call on 2nd and short there, but the play was there. Both tight ends went for the second level defender. They do their job, that play probably goes for at least 20+ yards. Instead, it took all the air out of the air out of the stadium.
@MattThompson87 How many times against ACC/power conference opponents have we been able to sit back and relax in the 2nd half? UVA (‘23), Cuse (‘25). Anything one else? His teams have a knack of getting up on teams and letting the foot off the gas, playing not to lose. Has to stop
@CoachCollins Spot on, Coach! Thank you for doing what you’re doing. Wish you would’ve had a few more years at GT. I have no doubt it was just a matter of time before things started cooking!
@MattThompson87 And the angle they used was behind the play where you can’t even tell when the defender touched the ball. Also, this one review click was different than the stadium and broadcast clock? Lol okay
@SouthRecruiting Defense didn’t cost the game, but why in the hell did Semore not stack the box? JL’s inability to throw the ball was the only reason they didn’t have 20+ points. We knew they were running, and we just let them do it, playing at two safety deep look. Absolutely no adjustment.
@MattThompson87 Had to remind myself if Alberto was the runner I remembered, and after watching his highlights from last year, it’s criminal we didn’t do one option or designed run. Dude was out running safeties in the open field. Pro style apparently means taking that threat off the table.
@MattThompson87 It was clear we were losing the game when Key decided going up 6 was the better than being aggressive and putting the damn thing away. 1:40 with no timeouts in CFB is an eternity. More likely we win turning it over on downs and being up just 3. Key will never see it that way.
