@Brunte84 The Metropolitan ‘elite’. Ever lived in rural UK where there is just one retailer for miles and a car is an essential not a luxury. Useless doesn’t even come close.
Which means not only is it 15+ minutes late but a likely missed connection at London St Pancras and a shorter train = rammed. The great nationalised railway we have been waiting for @Se_Railway
@Se_Railway Anothet cracking morning on the misery line. And whilst standing here at Stonegate it has lost another 5 minutes! Try and reply without mentioning delay repay
@Se_Railway@topcatwm Never any explanation, just Claim Delay Repay. When can we start claiming for the loss of our valuable time?? Never, cos @Se_Railway would be bankrupt in a week. Useless company.
@Se_Railway No query - just an awful commute with 17:15 CX to Hastings just 63 minutes late arriving at Stonegate. Yet more signalling issues despite all the weekend closures
@SGNgas this is the awful diversion from A267 in East Sussex and the use of narrow country lanes that are now being destroyed by HGVs and creating real danger for all users.
@topcatwm Hello, thank you for getting in touch and making us aware of this. Are you able to please confirm what street or postcode the works are being done so we are able to make the manager in charge aware? Thanks, Harry.
@esccroads @SGNgas A267 diversion every day chaos and danger. Why are you not monitoring and resolving the issues around #mayfield. Or are you both waiting for a serious collusion?
@SGNgas - you guys were adamant that the diversions on A267 would cause no real problems. Ask the residents of #Mayfield and go take a look or view Facebook pics of the daily chaos. Get out there pls
@esccroads so how would you guys assess the danger and chaos caused by the thoughtless diversion from A267 to Lake St/ Little Trodgers Lane. Or the utter destruction of the roads and borders caused by HGVs using it. Come on - send real people to observe before a fatality

@Se_Railway Please pass this to John below. Thanks John, if you DM me I can provide you with further information about how wrong things went today but I haven’t put in the public domain. I’ll await to hear from you.
@topcatwm Hi Peter, I'm John - Head of Information Delivery here at Southeastern. Your messages have been escalated to me and I firstly wanted to renew our apologies for the disruption to your travel plans today and the obvious inconvenience we've caused you. As we've let you down, 1/
Thanks @Se_Railway - Pity that train is currently 10 minutes late. FYI - you can’t see which stations it will stop at on the main screens. You have to be on the platform so without your tweet I wouldn’t have known. Not your railway’s finest day
@topcatwm Hi Peter, the train was revised to call at Stonegate to accommodate for passengers on the earlier cancelled train.
This should be visible on station screens and our journey planner

@Se_Railway you didn’t answer the question as to why you can’t have the 13:24 from LBG stop at Stonegate - to help your stranded passengers?? Please respond
I know that but I am at LBG now as that’s where your team sent me. Why can’t the 13:24 from LBG stop at the stations not served by the cancelled train? Might help your passengers. No need to mention delay repay - I am a regular from the misery line - Hastings

@topcatwm Hi Peter, apologies about this this was because of an earlier fault on a train. As you've been delayed by 15 minutes or more, please claim delay repay: https://t.co/zNwj2dSAF6
Your next service will be the 1345 from Charing Cross, expected to run on time.

And even if the 13:24 from LBG could stop at SOG I see it’s late. Doesn’t fill me with confidence that you can get me back to Stonegate where my car is - comments please
@Se_Railway Utter chaos thank you. 12:45 to SOG from CX - cancelled but will start at LBG. Get there to find it’s cancelled altogether. Next SOG train an hour. Why can’t faster Hastings train stop at SOG. Afternoon wrecked

But you can redirect your diversion signs and maybe pause the non emergency work. Or do you agree that cutting off a primary school and a commuter station is not your concern?
@topcatwm Hi Peter, we can not stop emergency work from taking place due to it's nature. Utilities have up to 2 hours to apply for a retrospective permit. Thanks - C
At a time when Labour should be standing back and leaving Reform and Tories to knock lumps out of each other Labour ministers brief journos that Starmer should sack Streeting for disloyalty.
They give the Gang who couldn’t Shoot Straight a bad name. The standard of poltico on both sides of the House is at an historic low but Labour backbenchers are thicker than the year Jack Thick McThick won the Thick Man of the year competition. Otherwise why wouldn’t you just let Reform and the Tories stew in their own juice.
