🔥 HIGH FIRE DANGER ALERT 🔥
Continued warm, dry conditions will keep fire danger elevated through the weekend. A few scattered showers and storms may develop Thursday evening along a passing cold front, but widespread, soaking rainfall is not expected at this time.

While cooler temperatures are anticipated Friday and Saturday behind the front, fire conditions will remain a concern.

⚠️ Use caution with any outdoor activities that could spark a fire and help prevent accidental ignitions.

A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for much of the NE Kansas region from Saturday afternoon, Mar. 20 thru 7PM Sunday, Mar. 21. Conditions are expected to be favorable for the rapid spread of fires due to:
🌬️ Strong winds
🌾 Dry vegetation
☀️ Low humidity

⚠️ Please take precautions to help prevent fires:
🚫 Avoid outdoor burning
🚬 Properly dispose of cigarettes
🔥 Do not leave fires unattended
🚗 Avoid parking on dry grass
