π¨π’ BREAKING: PI CORE TEAM OFFICIALLY UPDATES PI NODE TO STELLAR CORE v26.1.0! π¨
π₯ This isn't just about changing a version number.
Picture this:
π» Stellar v25 is like Windows 10.
π» Stellar v26 is like Windows 11.
The version doesn't change by itself.
To run the "new generation," the entire development toolkit has to be upgraded along with it.
That's why Pi Core Team has updated everything all at once:
β Stellar Core: v24.1.0 β v26.1.0
β Horizon: v24 β v26
β Ubuntu: 20.04 β 24.04
β Clang: 12 β 20
β C++20 standard
β Go 1.25
β The Docker build process has also been redone to be compatible with v26
π€ Why does this matter?
Because Stellar Core v26 needs a completely new "toolset."
If you're still using an old Ubuntu, old Clang, or an old C++ standard, building Stellar Core v26 will no longer meet the new technical requirements.
Simply put...
π Pi Core Team has just upgraded the entire "toolset" so that Pi Node can run on the new-generation Stellar Core platform.
π This is a sign that Pi Node has been updated to be compatible with Stellar Core v26.1.0 at both the development and build level.
π¬ What do you think is this upgrade just to keep up with Stellar, or is it preparing for a bigger change coming up?

Why Buyback Cycle 2 Looks Different
Cycle 1 taught us something, and most of it came from the community: requirements were too demanding, and the window to qualify felt too narrow.
Unich Network listened.
Cycle 2 changes two things: the pool, and selection.
The pool is no longer fixed. Cycle 1 ran on a set amount decided in advance. Cycle 2 removes that ceiling, the pool now scales directly with Unich's revenue. No artificial limit, only real network performance.
Selection is now daily, and timing matters. Instead of one round, Cycle 2 runs random selection every day, Monday through Friday. Qualify early, and you enter more days of selection, a higher cumulative chance of being picked. But nobody is locked out. Busy on Monday? Complete requirements Wednesday or Friday and you still enter the pool for every day going forward, right up to the final day.
Early action gets more chances. Late action still gets real chances.
Requirements are lighter too: hold 50 $FC, invite 5 new Node Owners, like and share the post. Lower bar, more Node Owners with a real path to selection.
Cycle 2 doesn't ask for less effort. It gives that effort more ways to count.
$FC Buyback Cycle 2 is live β network expansion week.
This week we continue our mission of building a new world β one that is fair and free. Whether you have $1 or $1,000,000, the rules are the same. What you achieve depends on your own effort.
Before you join, remember: all $FC bought back will be burned permanently. Buyback is a supply-reduction mechanism of the network, not an attempt to buy back all circulating $FC. Join for the purpose of building the new world, not to sell your $FC.
Details for Cycle 2:
π No Slot cap: the number of Node Owners selected each day depends on real network activity, with no fixed ceiling.
π Daily selection: every day we announce the selected Node Owners right in this tweet β except Saturday and Sunday.
π Buyback rate: 40 USDT/Node.
This is a long-term experimental phase. The program will continue to run and expand alongside the network.
To qualify for selection:
β Hold at least 50 $FC in your balance
β Invite 5 new Node Owners into the network
β Like and share this post, tag 2 friends
Always required: comment your Unich Address and your (USDT) SOL Address below this post to be eligible for $FC Buyback Cycle 2.
β° Timeline:
Cycle 2 begins today at 2:00 AM (UTC) and closes at the same time next Friday. One full week.
π Results:
Announced daily, Monday through Friday, at 10:00 AM (UTC).
Presence gets recognized. Consistency gets recognized.
Pioneers don't realize that the kind of adoption that we imagined for Pi through the years can only happen when the legal framework of the external world clears a path that allows it to happen.
We didn't realize it earlier, but PCT's vision β and the community's aspirations β cannot thrive in the current landscape.
I think PCT, like everyone else, believed that the targeted July 4th date for signing of the CLARITY ACT would be achieved and the ideal path would be cleared. That's why they initiated a sprint upgrade of the Pi protocol from v19 to v26. They even went as far as putting up deadlines for each upgrade which set v26 to be achieved by end of June.
However, as they saw the delays on CLARITY ACT from the US Senate, and realized that July 4th signing won't happen, they stalled the upgrade β around same period the CLARITY ACT stalled to the detriment of July 4th. In fact, PCT even removed the deadline for v26 and replaced it with TBD while the upgrade from v24 to v25 just hanged for more than a month now, with no information update on it whatsoever (majority of nodes upgraded to v25 but the blockchain is still on v24).
Obviously, plans changed. So they continued their usual "momentum-management" with other updates.
Of course, this is just my analysis, and I may be wrong. But I don't think I am. What Pi is built to be can only happen when the legal framework makes room for it to happen. The implication of Pi in the world is different from that of other Layer 1s.
While seeing Pi at $0.07 might be shocking, I'd urge all pioneers to keep their eyes on the prize. Especially builders.
Everything is ephemeral!

Unich Network is buying back $FC from the community.
Every week. For everyone. Buyback hits directly your wallet.
This is not a promise. This is happening.
Unich Network takes a portion of real revenue every week and uses it to buy $FC back from eligible users. The price is set by the community through a vote. The selected Node owners are chosen from those who qualify. $FC is bought back in USDT, verified on chain, no intermediaries.
Every $FC you hold was mined through real activity. A real Peer Meet. A real connection. A real moment between two or more people in the same place at the same time. The Buyback turns that into something you can hold in your hand.
Not eventually. Not anytime. Unich Network Buyback is almost here!
Who qualifies?
π Hold at least 50 $FC in your balance.
π Invite at least 5 real people into the network.
π Finish your social requirement in App.
Everyone, Your Nodes are ready?
Pi2Day 2026 reflects how Piβs utility continues to grow through infrastructure and participation.
- Through SoloHost, Pi Desktop and Nodes can support new local AI app and compute use cases
- Pi Sign-in can help connect those experiences across users, devices, and services
- PiVerify can extend Piβs real-human verification capabilities to third-party clients.
Together, these releases point to a broader direction for the ecosystem: Pi products are built both for the Pi ecosystem and to extend Pi services and resources to the external world. This, in turn, enriches and strengthens the Pi ecosystem.
Piβs practical utility is built not only by product releases but by the Pioneers, Node operators, developers, KYC validators, app teams, merchants, and third-party services that use them, test them, and build on them.

This is a promissory note!
I hope everyone can retweet my tweet.
I have prepared 100000 PI coins, which will be distributed to people who follow me when kyc is 80% complete!
