@WWE So the first person to beat Oba on the main roster is….a guy that’s been main eventing for 24 years?
They could’ve built up Oba for a year before having someone beat him in a meaningful match.
I hate even Stevens booking.
@EarlSargent@truNathaniel They would need to prove it.
Which makes the news today that WWE looks like they intentionally auto deleted certain messages and the timing of the setting changes look suspicious.
WWE has more of an uphill fight than they did.
I still expect nothing to happen though.
@EarlSargent@truNathaniel The entire investor argument is that Vince sold the WWE to the highest bidder that would also allow him to remain in control, not the overall highest bidder.
@KeemWins Who honestly is going to get fired from this?
Legitmate question? Vince is already gone. Johnny Ace is already gone. Stephanie is gone from a leadership role. Nick Khan isn’t taking the fall. Hunter is in charge of creative.
I just don’t see who gets the boot.
@Noahgilberto19 I think the more realistic outcome there is just getting out of pro wrestling altogether at that point.
AEW would be cheaper content, but they want the audience as well.
@Cory_Hays407 I was concerned about MyAEW and the quality of the live stream for bigger shows.
I watched Supercard last Friday and the stream was phenomenal. It lagged twice in 4 hours. Each time for about 3 seconds and video quality never dropped.
@DavidMiz282@mibrardragon@PSVSMC12 Paramount didn’t get rid of PPV. They paid more money for exclusive content. If Paramount wanted AEW PPVs to air live on their platform, they’d pay more money for exclusivity.
Otherwise, both UFC and AEW could and would still be running PPVs.
@DavidMiz282@mibrardragon@PSVSMC12 They didn’t “scrap” the shows, they went from PPV to being content for Paramount+.
AEW would provide the same if not more content for Paramount+ than they already do for HBO Max.
@RighteousReg Bandido/Blake Christian was great and main event were both great. I’m a big fan of Outrunners/Dalton Castle winning 6 man titles. The rest of the show was decent.
@AEWTicketMap I think people need to understand historical context. 1,200 people for an ROH show period is actually pretty solid. It’s not tremendous or even great, but it’s far from bad.
@jimmyvan I had that thought as well, and it may be an unintentional consequence. There’s zero chance TKO leaves money on the table with media rights deals.
