@RaxKingIsDead Those are my defaults too. Sometimes I make a bunch of beans in advance and do burritos or breakfast burritos for lunch for a few days. I also frequently make/freeze a big batch of soup on the weekends and then thaw it out when I'm at a loss. Or make pastene & butter like a child
@CHIDSPIN You gotta switch to Ting, dude. I pay $25/month, max. They have family pooling plans but we keep ours separate because I'm the only one using data.
@biTRACIal It's so weird that these aren't included in every book. I worked in textbook publishing for years, and in that world there's always a masthead for the whole team.
@otter_weekend Literally got detention for this at like, 12 years old. I lived over 5 miles from the school and both my parents worked. Very cool and normal expectations for a child.
The number of cops barricading streets in downtown Boston right now and laying in wait for protestors is appalling, especially when contrasted with the actual group of 70 or so protestors, peacefully assembling to express their grief and pain. Extremely fucked up.
@realnorireed Be annoying as shit and never give up. Document every communication. Keep escalating whenever you talk to Capital One, and steamroll past their attempts at rejection until you get to someone who says yes. That's what eventually worked for me.
@realnorireed Good luck to you. Something similar happened to me in Rome many years ago, and it took months of yelling, arguing, and calling multiple times a day, but the credit card company finally caved and credited me back. Hope Capital One does right by you.
i’ve seen enough: frasier is going to ruin his dinner party after a misunderstanding causes him to tell a series of increasingly elaborate lies that are revealed as such at the most inopportune moment
@oldfilmsflicker Wrap each individually in foil, put on a baking sheet, and roast at 450 for 1 hour. Let them cool, then remove the skin, slice, and enjoy with salt and pepper, in a salad, etc. Or throw them in the fridge in their cooked+ foil-wrapped state and delay the peeling for a few days.
@CHIDSPIN Only thing better is when all the alarms go off at 3:22 for no reason (dust?) and you have to figure out which one triggered it + disconnect from the hardwiring to make them all stop.
@annehelen Grew up in Rhode Island and also learned it in HS PE, completely forgot about it for 15 years, then started hearing about it again/seeing pickleball courts about 5 years ago in MA/RI/CT.
