My question is super simple. @etihad I booked through your app, specifying all details of my trip - the departure date & time, paid the “i don’t know why” 50$ as a stop over reservation fee, chose the long layover for utilising this benefit. What should I do now?

Update:

@EtihadHelp asked me to DM with booking details. Sent them the details. An hour later, they replied with requesting for my email and booking date. I replied instantly, 3 hours later - still no reply.

The @etihad mobile app suddenly showed 4 hotels. I chose one and the next page is hanging with “Hotel booking is in progress. Confirmation details will be emailed shortly.”. The @etihad stopover team in an email says “You are not eligible”, “You have booked on the blackout day”

Booked a @Etihad flight today (JFK → Bangkok, one-way) with an Abu Dhabi stopover.

During booking, I selected the stopover and was charged $50 for it.

Within 1 hour of booking, I’ve been told:
❌ not eligible
✅ eligible
❓ hotels unavailable
🤝 “we’ll check with another team”

The core issue here is product design:

• Don’t show a stopover option if eligibility isn’t met
• Don’t allow payment without confirming availability
• Don’t push customers into manual/offline flows after checkout

@Etihad — this is misleading UX.

Happy to proceed if hotel is confirmed. Otherwise expecting a full refund including the $50 fee.

@Spotify Can we engineer a better solution to make sure the tempo reduction from 1x to 0.9x keeps pitch and formants intact and makes it feel more natural than stretched? C'mon, it's 2025. 0.1x reduction in the tempo cannot be this bad. Try the "intelligent investor" audio book.

Between babysitting for an operator to correctly browse the website, choose the restaurant, make the reservation vs doing it myself under 30s. I would still prefer the latter.

Still figuring where would I use an operator on a daily basis?
