@LockedOutKate@aaron_davi62877@HotepJesus Easy, but I think the state should have added more charges here. Don't think murder will stand. Manslaughter possibly. With Austin "left in charge", parents could sue the district for negligence. Thats about it
@aaron_davi62877@LockedOutKate@HotepJesus According to testimony Hunter was the one that initiated the conversation. Austin also approached after threatening to kick his ---. Maybe a lesser charge but murder is off the table.
@LockedOutKate@aaron_davi62877@HotepJesus I am referring to the one from ABC where Hunter says, "he's like make me move. Austin grabs his bag, and I tried to whip around as fast as I could but didn't see the stab.
@LockedOutKate@aaron_davi62877@HotepJesus Go back to the beginning. Hunter stated in tv interview Austin grabbed Melos bag. He was pushed on shoulder, and one witness stated he attempted to grab Melo with both hands while being stabbed. Mind you Hunter admitted to starting the altercation, Austin came in. TV interview
@LockedOutKate@aaron_davi62877@HotepJesus It proves the states case has holes in it. If you recall the same witness, ended his testimony with a bunch of "I don't remember" responses. It's the states burden to prove murder, meaning you need motive or have to show intent. Yer the state's witnesses stories don't align.
@LockedOutKate@aaron_davi62877@HotepJesus The kid that testified tried numerous times to deny knowing Melo. In cross, the defense showed multiple photos of the two together. That proved the witness was lying. Makes his testimony look like trash. Defense is playing chess.
@aaron_davi62877@HotepJesus He was called over there. Read the transcript. Austin had zero authority under Texas law to ask anyone to leave. Austin moved toward a seated Melo. What don't you get?
