Playing two 2⭐️ cards

It's that time again—choosing which 2-star cards to include in your deck.

Compared to last week, where 2-star options were clear, this week lacks standout choices. Playing two 2-stars might not be the best strategy. However, there’s still potential for success, depending on whether inconsistent cards like Jim, Chumbawamba, and Intuitio post. I might risk Intuitio, given his Main 13 performance.

Kipit is a strong option this week. He’s been delivering updates quickly and shows no signs of slowing down. Expect more from him in the coming week.

Other options include Cozy (was doing better in the tournaments prior to the last 2) and Fiskantes (who occasionally scores high).

Now you’re choosing between 6-5-3, 7-4-3, 6-4-4, and 5-5-4 setups. Cochran at 5 stars might give a 6-5 setup an edge, especially paired with a solid 6-star like w3q. However, with a strong 4-star category this week, most will likely favour a top 5, 7-star paired with a good 4-star like Jay or Artschoolreject. Given the abundance of 4-stars, a 6-4-4 setup could be reasonable, offering two strong 4-star cards.

Playing one 2⭐️ cards

Possible Formations:

Playing one 2-star card might be your best bet this week due to the limited options. This means including more 3/4-star cards. Check out my top picks post for options.

In addition, I also think in the 3-star range, there’s limited upside, which is why I’m leaning towards a 5-4-4-3-2 formation. This setup minimizes 2 and 3 star cards, whilst giving you two 4 stars to choose from.

You’ll need to decide if the benefit of having a top 5 card with additional 2/3 stars outweighs the balance of a 5-5-4-3-2 formation.

Can you win without a Top 5 card?

For this week, I’d say yes, considering the lack of 2/3-star options. The formations 5-4-4-3-2 and 6-4-4-2-2, if optimized, can definitely challenge for top spots in Bronze. You’ll need strong performance from your 5/6-star cards, and with the 6-4-4-2-2 setup, at least one inconsistent 2-star card will need to come through.

@Web3Quant (6⭐️) and @adamscochran (5⭐️) have both shown they can get in the Top 10 scorers so they'd be my favourites going into next week, if i was go with the formations above.

Choosing 2-star cards is tough this week due to limited options. Two 2-stars might not be optimal, but cards like Jim, Chumbawamba, and Intuitio could still be valuable if they perform. Kipit is a strong option with frequent updates, while Cozy and Fiskantes offer occasional higher scores. Consider formations like 6-5-3, 7-4-3, 6-4-4, or 5-5-4, with Cochran boosting a 6-5 setup and a 6-4-4 being a balanced choice due to strong 4-stars.

Playing just one 2-star card might be better, leaning towards setups like 5-4-4-3-2. This strategy minimizes 2- and 3-star cards while including two solid 4-stars. Without a top 5 card, formations like 5-4-4-3-2 or 6-4-4-2-2 can still perform well, provided your 5/6-star cards are strong. @Web3Quant and @adamscochran are options for such formations.
