If you want to throw 100 MPH, you need positions that move energy through the torso and transfer it efficiently through the arm.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to transfer energy into the baseball ⚡️
To throw 100, you need to set yourself up the right spots to send as much energy through the torso as possible, and maximize energy transfer to the implement via the arm.
Don’t need everything to be perfect, just need to maximize what matters the most - throwing the ball.
You either have it or you don’t.
The EV of efficiently using that time to your advantage will compound exponentially and allow you to beat everyone else.
Maybe not tomorrow, or next week. But eventually you’ll be the only person standing. It’ll be glorious.
I poured everything I had into building CP and serving its athletes. I’m proud of the work we did, the envelope we pushed, and the progress so many made. That legacy will always mean something to me, even as I step into what’s next.
Stay tuned
As a sophomore in high school I weighed 300 pounds and could barely bench 95. I was depressed, lost, and told I’d never live out my dream of playing college football. Yesterday, I started in front of 100,000 people in one of the largest stadiums in the SEC. In this life you have two choices be a victim to your circumstance or make the most of it. There will always be people that are bigger, faster, and stronger but I promise if I can do it so can you. Keep God first, put in the work, and let the rest work itself out.

A fundamental misunderstanding of motor learning is the idea of "optimal" movement.
There is no optimal. The human body isn't constantly correcting itself based on a cost function that minimizes error.
@torenherrick's arm action is the perfect example. 1/n
@clayton_t22@RobertStock6 Basically.
Training harder than I have in the past & doing a lot of new things is the most to credit. Last two months the thought has been "throw your chest".
I often see videos of absurd velocity claims on the internet, and take one look at the mechanics and know they’re either lying or have a faulty radar gun. Not the case for this throw. Looks every bit of 100mph! Congrats @torenherrick.
Toren threw hard. A lot. A literal trial by fire. After a few sessions, we would make corrections to his "core" plyos.
When working with Toren in person, we identified a real weakness in his arm path. We adjusted the throwing program.
The throw where it all clicked 👇
None of this happens without a rare group of people operating at the top of their field and constantly pushing the envelope.
Blessed is an understatement.
It’s not every day that you punch 100 for the first time, but it was that day for @torenherrick.
11 months ago, Toren reached out to me, saying, "I've got 100 in my bones."
At the time, Toren couldn't throw without pain. So what changed?
It’s not always fun. Toren has had his fair share of setbacks, injuries, and days where he has thrown slow.
But the trend is there.
Consistency and long term belief will make the impossible possible. It can even make up for subpar training.
If you tell me you have aspirations of throwing 100, my immediate follow up question is:
How many fully recovered high-intensity sessions have you had in the last 5 years?
Grateful to be back doing what I love 14 1/2 months after Tommy John surgery. Extremely thankful for the support from my family, friends, and the trainers/coaches who have helped me get back on the mound. The journey continues
The Woodpeckers activated RHP Nolan DeVos today off the IL. The 2022 5th rounder last pitched in 2023 when he had a 3.19 ERA with 117 K in 98.2 innings between Single-A and High-A. #Astros https://t.co/8YWnk2jlgt
