@AndrewCFollett@DHSgov How about if you were standing exactly where this photo was taken? Not in the path of the car, but able to shoot that bullet hole.

I'm a little surprised to see we don't feature in the Wikipedia list of the 100 worst invasive species: https://t.co/LG0QRGfQOT (probably the biased definition is to blame).
Feeling terribly satisfied!
I found out about this competition just 2 days ago. Managed to plan, write & edit a 3.5k story that I'm proud of, with ample help from my lovely wife :) #amwriting#WritingCommunity https://t.co/5Ap4voEj9f
Published my first book at 42. It was an international bestseller now going into it's 30th or so printing in the US.
Then I tried my hand at screenwriting at 45, and now have a dozen produced screenplays.

If life was poetry
it’d be a haiku
lowercase moments
sans punctuation
a perfectly split phrase
one clever fragment
breaths like syllables
all seventeen
dispersed unevenly
in 3 broken lines
if life was poetry
it’d be a haiku
tattooed ‘neath ribs
on hearts, yours & mine

Researching foods that are good for an apocalypse and I read "Unopened bottles of wine or other distilled spirits can be stored for up to 30 years or more."
That's some semantic wizardry in that final prepositional phrase!
As is so often the case, I started researching a piece of tech for this story, then ended up spending quarter of an hour on #spelling variants.
Diametre or diameter, anyone?
Seems the former is correct, but in its dying throes.

Good, positive day. Now the baby is 3 months old, I'm managing to get an hour or so in the mornings for my #wip ... planned to the end today, and then when I arrived home this @lbluemarble book with my story was waiting for me. #WritingCommunity
@jennhockley Quite fun to chuck your short stories in https://t.co/gGmDK5RnIQ to see how it suggests you simplify. I like simple, but also occasional floweriness for variety. Doesn't help with over describing scenes tho
