When someone is coming to you to share something going on in their lives and you don’t take the time to meet them where they are, it comes off dismissive. Even if you don’t mean to.
ableism is interesting because you will never meet someone who's straight up like "I HATE DISABLED PEOPLE" but you see it so much in peoples words and actions

I hate to burst your bubble but even if everyone in the family appears to not have a disability, there’s still a chance you might have a disabled child. Disability isn’t always hereditary. If that’s your main concern, you should prob not have kids.
