🦊: See u krub bkk
🐰: Welcome, handsome.
🦊: Just wait for me a bit, phi.*
🐰: Goodbye, Bangkok man.**
* This sentence is in Isan dialect and is in contrast to the English used earlier. Bonnie's "welcome, handsome" was English transliterated to Thai.
- ข่อย (khoi) = I
- เด้อ = a final sentence particle in Isan/Lao language, which operates kind of like "you know" or "okay?" or just adds emphasis
- เอื้อย (ueai) = phi (female) - I wrote "phi", since most ppl already know what that means, but the word she used is in Isan dialect
** "Goodbye, Bangkok man" is lyrics from the viral song "รัก ร้าง ราด รี (Dragon Jar) (Special Version)" by Tao Paranwat feat. Tonkaow Supreeya. The song has a sort of luk krung (old-style songs) and luk thung (nowadays mostly associated with the northeastern/Isan region) vibe to it.
Emi also used the song for one of her Miu Miu TikTok videos. The caption on her video was "เจอกันปารีสเด้ออ้าย (See you in Paris, phi)". I wrote "phi" again here to make it easier to understand, but the word she used was อ้าย (ai), which is Isan dialect for phi (male).
I remember watching this edit when I was just starting to get into emibonnie and I was so amazed by how natural they were with eo.. they were so shy here but they’re pretty much still the same 😭
