I wouldn't want Gerrard anywhere near the manager role at Liverpool untill he has got some real experience. Being manager of Rangers in a pub-league and then get the Liverpool job, is like me getting a job as a rockett-scientist because i've set off fireworks on new years eve.
@davidlynchlfc My take is that the «higher-ups» didn’t want Alonso as he had too deep connection with the fans, so they rather look elsewhere. I guess the Palace manager is who they look to.
@RobGutmann@vecchio_uomo If they folded over tickettpricing, they’ll sure as shit won’t go into a new season with Slot. They care a tad bit to much about optics to risk that. Stop worrying.
@stehoare If the «folded» with the tickett debacle, you can rest assured they won’t dare going into a new season with Slot. They are always aware of the optics.
@RobGutmann We all know it’s gone too far. The fans have turned, and they don’t turn back easily. If they let him continue next season we’ll just have Brendan 2.0 on our hands. The suits wouldn’t want that, surely.
@Corballyred They won’t. This is just the club feeding a narrative to keep thing relatively calm. They wouldn’t want any Alonso mania before the summer. There is a reason Slot isn’t handed new terms, and it ain’t blind faith.
@stehoare Well, if the manager have them doing things that leaves them well off the standard required, there’s a managerial problem. Could be a coincident, but it seems were getting worse the further we get away from Klopps time as manager. I don’t think it’s a coincident.
@Cap6williamson@AFTVMedia Bollocks. You were way off Liverpool by the time he got injured. Although he is a good assister, his goal return is way to low to win his team titles as the focalpoint of the attack. The reason you end up emptyhanded time and time again is because of poor managment not injuries
