They told you tests weren't necessary for your children...
....while the wealthy & well-connected got 1st dibs on an essential public health tool.
This isn't an anomaly with Ford: it's standard operating procedure.

@NaheedD I keep thinking about how private schools got to keep masking mandates when the Ford government forced public schools to get rid of them. Not only does all of this reinforce a two-tier education system, it makes it clear that the public tier is constantly being sabotaged.

The Ontario government should be ashamed of itself for sending just 20% of taxpayer funded rapid tests to COVID hotspots...They even sent more rapid tests to private schools than shelters, paramedics, jails & daycares, altogether...So unfair. So unethical. And so wrong!
I was talking to a patient recently about her different experiences using heroin vs fentanyl. She’s been using opioids a long time. Too long, by her count.
She explained the difference to me like this (shared with permission):

It’s a beautiful morning to learn about how the pandemic has changed policing 🌅
Beginning at 9:30am EST, come and learn from @alexmcclelland @idilatweets @SamTecle LLana James (@rede4blacklives) and Briana Olson Pitawanakwat (@TIHR4life)

"It used to be that the decision not to wear a mask was a political statement. Now, Ford wants to turn a decision to wear a mask into a political statement. It's not. It’s an 'I don't want to get sick and die,' statement."

this is such an important point. the people who dismiss police killings of unarmed Black people as statistically insignificant ignore the fact that police abuse is a continuum of behavior. few people get shot, yes. but many do get hassled, harassed, pushed around, even beaten.
@RodneyTori To anyone thinks this isn't on Ford, a reminder that he cut paramedic services in 2019 and hasn't restored funding, despite Ottawa Paramedic Service hitting level zero 400 times in 2020. https://t.co/D9guNrsD1W
A reminder that in 2019, before the pandemic and during a cutting spree, Doug Ford cut paramedic services. In 2020, Ottawa Paramedic Service reached "level zero" over 400 times.
This story by @KatePorterCBC is deeply concerning and requires government attention. Read: Paramedics respond to call almost 2 hours away due to 'level zero' in Ottawa https://t.co/CP7gzhsou1
Dear Premier Ford,
The word "absenteeism" is quite insulting to every single frontline worker. Nurses are falling sick from working long 16hrs shifts in full PPE, no breaks, no vacation time, no mental health support and no paid sick days.
Language matters Premier!
About last night. Heard a Peel region hospital did not have sufficient nurses, had to transfer patients out to other hospitals. Peel Code Black called because one or less ambulances available.
Massive staffing shortages across province, expect to see more of healthcare crumble.
