I'm so happy to announce that my very first SaaS is finally live! 🎉
I kept having trading ideas I couldn't quickly test without spinning up a whole quant workflow.
So I built Torquant.
Describe a strategy in plain English, get guided if you're new to systematic trading, and backtest in minutes.
• No Python
• No data downloads
• Built for iteration, not one-off demos
If you've ever thought "I wonder if this would work", this is for that moment.
The entry barrier to systematic trading has never felt lower. 😉
Try it free, if your curious about trading/investing→ https://t.co/f4oJOFL7s1
The X algorithm truly sucks.
Five days ago, I publicly launched my SaaS. To raise awareness among the build-in-public community, I participated in the usual posts where founders and developers share what they’re building.
I shared my newly launched MVP in relevant threads, replied to other builders, and left useful, on-topic comments. None of it was spam. I was simply engaging with the conversations as intended.
One of my replies was even bookmarked around 20 times. That may not sound like much to some people, but for me it was the first time something I wrote resonated enough for people to save it.
Then, suddenly, I got shadow banned.
My replies stopped appearing. My posts started getting significantly fewer impressions. Even now, five days later, my replies are effectively invisible. They’re not marked as spam. they simply don’t exist.
I’ve replied to people commenting on my own posts, and those replies aren’t visible to them. This is actively damaging both my reputation and my business.
To make matters worse, I’m paying for X Premium.
Yesterday, I received a notification that my account had been labeled. I immediately requested a review, but so far nothing has happened.
This post probably won’t reach many people either, but if you’ve experienced something similar or know someone who has, I would appreciate it if you shared your experience and helped give this some visibility.
Thanks.
I learnt my lesson a few years ago with Crypto dot com. For two months I couldn’t access my coins or withdraw. Since then I never leave more than 1K on exchanges at any moment, and no more than $0 dollars for longer than a few minutes ( time for receiving -> converting to cash-> withdrawing cash. )
Congratulations on the 4K milestone! 🎉
You’re doing fantastic work with ECF. Ethereum needs more independent, permissionless organizations contributing to the ecosystem. The more decentralized the entities influencing the network, the stronger Ethereum becomes.
Let’s keep pushing for Ethereum entity decentralization.
Now that Torquant is live, I'm starting a 90-day SEO roadmap.
First step: define my ICP, who I'm building for (and who I'm not).
Primary persona
✅Crypto trader with real strategy ideas
✅Knows what backtesting means. Wants equity curves, drawdown, vs buy & hold
✅Doesn't want Python, pandas, CSV downloads, or QuantConnect-level complexity
✅Intermediate trader, comfortable with indicators, not a quant engineer
Secondary
✅Devs who could code but want to test 10 ideas this afternoon
✅Trad-fi people exploring crypto strategies
Anti-personas
❌Stock / options / forex traders (for the moment)
❌Teams needing live execution or broker APIs
❌Pure "learn to trade" beginners with no hypothesis yet
❌Power quants who need full code control & custom data infra
Torquant is for crypto traders who want real backtests without writing code or using a complex quant platform.
SEO will follow this. " #backtesting " + "crypto" + "no code"
@soloships@markproduct Thanks Vaidya!
The hardest part was the AI integration. The whole design of it, especially getting the LLM wrapper to behave as intended while consuming as less tokens as possible. At some point I though I'd give up.
What are you building?
-What does it do?
Backtests trading strategies from plain-English descriptions — no code or data setup.
-Who is it for?
Anyone with a trading idea who wants to test it systematically, especially if they’re not (yet) a quant.
-What makes it different?
It guides you through building and iterating a strategy, not just running a one-off backtest.

Now seriously thinking about it, it would have been a great name for my SaaS. And the .com is not taken!
The only problem: i don't have the $30k that the domain costs.. 😅
Quantless = systematic trading without the quant layer.
The usual path looks like: idea → Python → pandas → data feeds → backtest code → debug → maybe an answer. That whole middle stack is “being a quant.”
Quantless says: skip that stack. You still get systematic trading (rules, backtests, metrics, iteration), just not the infrastructure and expertise traditionally required.
