HS sports:

Lifting with your team 2x/wk in the off-season doesn’t always guarantee you will win a title. It just increases your likelihood of success.

But not training with your team 2x/wk in the off-season almost always guarantee that you will not win a title. It wildly decreases your chances of success.

Rays No. 29 prospect Taitn Gray (@MLBPipeline) is the youngest minor league player to post a 1.176 OPS or higher through a team’s first nine games of the season (min. 30 PA) since Juan Soto in 2017.

AMERICA, MEET QUINCY WILSON 😱

@QuincyWilson5 runs the fastest 400m EVER by a high school boy in the first heat of the U.S. Olympic Trials, his heat-winning 44.66 bettering Darrell Robinson’s 42-year-old all-time mark of 44.69.

The 16-year-old Wilson also hit the Olympic standard and is now #8 in the U.S. this year.

Because of a certified athletic trainer this 8th grade basketball player will go home to his family...who knows, he could be a future NBA star!

We need certified ATs and an AED to the patients side within 3 minutes at every game and practice.

Great article for parents AND athletes. Don't buy into the myth that specialization will get you what you want. Play more and the benefits to you multiply! Short read - well worth it!

@keithmurphy @IHSAA Was a precedent set this summer when they allowed softball and baseball players to play for other schools because that sport wasn’t being offered at their school due to COVID concerns?
