https://t.co/lvuZJV4Kq2 This is Stearns’ mess, not Mendoza’s, and DS needs to fix it. In here: some callups and trades* that might help (*buying isn’t too likely this early, especially by a 10-21 team)
Ukraine is fighting for the normal and safe life it deserves, for a just and reliable peace. We want this war to end. But Russia does not, and continues its aerial terror: over the past week, more than 1,050 attack drones, nearly 1,300 aerial bombs, and more than 20 missiles have been launched at Ukraine to destroy cities and kill people.
Those who seek negotiations do not deliberately strike civilians with ballistic missiles. To force Russia to stop its attacks, we need greater collective strength from the world.
Strengthening our air defense, supporting our army, and ensuring effective security guarantees that will make the return of Russian aggression impossible—this is what we must focus on. Justice must prevail. We believe in the power of unity, and we will certainly restore lasting peace.
World Serious? Are the @mets taking their championship window for granted by potentially letting Pete Alonso walk away?
@MarcMalusis broke it down on Sports Nation Nightly. #LGM
Dear David Stearns,
Re-sign Pete Alonso for Christ’s sake!
You are a stern & uncompromising negotiator. We get it!
But Pete is special to THIS fanbase.
Alonso could be an all-time great #Mets hitter & their all-time HR king.
Stop this & put pen to paper.
Sincerely,
Matt
Putting aside for the moment that he's a beloved, homegrown star who's wanted back by both fans and players, I don't understand how TPTB don't seem to see that without him, there'll be a polar bear-sized hole in the lineup. #Mets#PeteAlonso (2/2)
Mets ain’t the Mets with out Pete Alonso… Every single Mets fan should be petitioning for #PeteAlonso non stop. Go on strike, no buying tickets supporting nothing until we see Pete Alonso Signed in a Mets uniform. #Mets
BREAKING: Left-hander Sean Manaea and the New York Mets are in agreement on a three-year, $75 million contract, sources tell ESPN. The 32-year-old is running it back with the Mets.
