back then companies would willingly lose money to sell consoles at a reasonable price now we have ps5 nearing the end of its life and somehow still being as expensive as it was on launch and xbox is talking about a 1.5k bucks machine ok

[DiscussingFilm @DiscussingFilm]

Xbox is reportedly planning for their next console to release in late 2028.

Microsoft is internally projecting that the console could cost consumers between $1,200 and $1,800, unless they decide to subsidize the cost.

@kraevonluare there are also apps like gamenative or droiddeck that let you log in to your steam library and run your steam games on android though thats mostly reserved for indies and older triple a games

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare oh absolutely, ps3 emulation is on a bit of a rough spot on android right now but ive been playing a port of raging blast 2 and sonic unleashed on mines, also been playing a shitton of tenkaichi 3 and infinite world, the model i have can also emulate a good bit of switch

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare well not all of them are android, theres some that are windows, some that are linux, its all a little over the place but its a whole other world and im suprirsed its not nearly as popular

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare i cannot recommend enough that you check it out theyre basically super powerful android devices in console form, anbernic and ayn are the two main companies pumping them out but theres a whole market out there full of awesome stuff imo i think theyre the future of handheld gaming

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@Hiroshimself41 ola soi la perra de tobi fucks y esq mi juego tiene español y ruso jajaajajaja toma eso tobi perro te la voy a chupar muy duro porfa compra mi juego q no tiene idioma gringo 😈😈😈😈😈

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare with how digital everything is turning, i feel like the best thing are third party handhelds because of the price and freedom they give, i picked up an ayn thor somewhere around june and ive been having a blast with it, running everything from gameboy to ps3 and switch

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare yeah the second i heard about it i was convinced to get the next xbox, not so sure anymore tho, currently what seems the most interesting and with the best-looking future for me in the whole console market are emulating machines and handheld pc

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare 1200 is too much for me for the use i wouldve given it, and for xbox i heard rumors that the next xbox could be retrocompatible with all previous gens, so if its a 5070x level computer that also reads and plays all existing xbox disks natively, it might be worth it

[tortilla @tortillafaggot]

@kraevonluare its such a shame the steam machine got fucked over this hard over ai inflation, i wouldve 100% bought it had it been priced like an average console
