@Lyonessjo @SenMarkKelly We actually have jurisprudence on this issue as the War Crimes Tribunal at Nuremberg made very clear that “superior orders” were not a defence to war crimes and crimes against humanity. Same principles apply to US domestic + constitutional limitations.

@johnnol1 @Kate_McClymont @wendoureeswans No. In NSW if there is no unanimity amongst the jury following deliberations and that is because of one juror a majority verdict will be accepted. So one “hold out” cannot prevent a verdict being taken.
