THE LATEST IMMIGRATION CHANGES.

The latest Statement of Changes to the Immigration Rules has arrived with the major points being:

English language requirement for skilled workers, High Potential Individuals, and scale up workers will be level B2 for applications made on or after 8 January 2026
Reduction of the period for the Graduate Visa from the current 2 years to 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027. PhD graduates will continue to receive 3 years leave to remain after graduation.
Expansion of the High Potential Individual route - doubling the number of eligible institutions but with a cap of 8,000 applications a year.
There is clarification regarding nominated guardians, and permitted living arrangements for safeguarding of children under the Child Student Visa. That is very important to prevent child abuse.

More will be highlighted in the coming days and weeks.

There is no need to panic. There will always be changes, there will always be lawyers and the courts.

They once canceled the Post-Study visa, but UK universities and the local economy suffered as international students looked to more favorable countries for further education. Let’s wait and see.

As a young pastor, you MUST do something else that is legitimate to earn an income to support your family and give your family the best possible comfort.

I have traveled widely and I see a lot of pastors suffering. It is an unnecessary suffering.
