As someone who learned confrontation as an adult, what I’m still struggling with is the post confrontation feeling.
Now I’ve confronted you, you’ve apologised, so what do I do with this tiny guilt I’m feeling?
Sometimes I start wondering, “Maybe I did too much.”
Smh 😌
Suffer for 3 years, 4th year start shouting igbos want to take over yoruba land. Rinse and repeat, since independence day. Doesn't matter the generation.
I get so fascinated when I meet someone smarter than me in whatever area.
I love being around people who know things I don't, think differently, see deeper meanings in things, and can teach me something new. There's just something attractive about intelligence.
66 years after independence , it's reflective of the fact that Nigeria still WALLOWS in a state of meticisina statism, cankerous tribalism, ecocentric chauvinism, syphilitic parochialism, epileptic nepotism, catalytic parapoism and state brigadish of the bluest dial!!
I can’t understand how a country can place your country under a visa ban, while you go ahead and sign an agreement with them for them to plunder your mineral resources.
I hate Nigeria so much, I really do, I hate its leaders more.
Nigeria needs to run a no-judgement return-home campaign complete with rehabilitation efforts for Nigerians who have tried to leave through the Mediterranean. 🧎🏾♀️
I didn’t expect to read about Ghanaians making that journey. FFS! That’s an extremely long way from home 😣
First time in my entire life witnessing citizens of a country focusing on and scrutinizing an opposition leader while ignoring an incumbent who has plunged a large number of citizens into abject poverty.
Must be SPELL.
Just finished reading all three parts of Fisayo’s recent exposé and here are my reflections:
Firstly, Fisayo is astounding. Imo, the best investigative journalist in Nigeria. Bro is brave asl, using “brave” cos if he had died, the word would have been “stupid”. Often times the difference between “bravery” & “stupidity” is outcome.
Secondly, privilege is blinding. For all our despair, we really do not know how “good”we have it until we learn about the immense sufferings of others. We like to compare “privileges” & that’s fine but sometimes we need to compare “sufferings” so we can learn gratitude.
Thirdly, ignorance is expensive and ultimately dangerous, because those lads spent as much, if not more, trying to access Europe illegally than they would have spent doing it legally.
Fourthly, human beings are incredibly wicked. The traffickers, especially the Arab ones & the soldiers: treating humans worse than stray dogs, viciously raping young girls who are already broken in mind, body and soul, shit is beyond my comprehension.
Finally, it’s such a fantastic piece of work, albeit sad & haunting. Well done Fisayo.
Trekking in the desert like the Israelites. Waylaid by desert bandits. The Benue girl “brutally raped for 3 days” by traffickers.
The 3rd and final installation of @fijnigeria’s migrant investigation.

6 straight days without a bath. Vehicle breakdown in the heart of the desert. Becoming slaves to Arab traffickers.
