I've played professional baseball.
I've coached collegiate baseball.
I've evaluated thousands of high school players over the last 12 years.
Here are a few baseball truths I've learned:
• Failure is inevitable. How you respond to it is a choice.
• The game rewards resilience far more than talent gives it credit for.
• Body language is visibly LOUD.
• You never know who's watching.
• Talent gets you noticed. Consistency gets you recruited.
• Nobody cares how good you were last week.
• The players who blame others rarely improve.
• Confidence comes from preparation, not motivation.
• The game owes you nothing.
• Coaches trust competitors before they trust tools.
• Your teammates know if you're real.
• Baseball has a funny way of exposing excuses.
• The best players are usually obsessed with improvement, not attention.
• Nobody remembers your excuses. They remember your actions.
Build your floor. Chase your ceiling. ⚾️

Want to handle elite pitching? Start with the right approach.
Your swing should be “on” the moment the pitcher releases the ball. If it’s not a pitch you can do damage with, turn it off and take it.
We call it:
“YES, YES, YES… NO.” (Take)
If it’s your pitch:
“YES, YES, YES… CRUSH.” (Swing)
Great hitters are ready to hit every pitch. They simply have the discipline to say no to the wrong ones.
Example👇
Oh no, Jaxson Darts introduced President Trump… he’s MAGA.
You mean he’s not a leftist lunatic who wants men in girls’ bathrooms, believes in 27 genders, and cross-dresses?
Phew. Thank you, Jesus. 🥳
@CoachMongero@HPBAac@HSBaseballField HS Ball will eventually only be played on turf... turf and lush natural surfaces (college/pro) .. are fairly comparable surfaces. High school seasons are losing wayy too many games due to weather and poor field conditions
