If the society makes a concerted effort to protect those who are most vulnerable (i.e abused children) then eventually everyone will have that same privilege.
@greatgreyowls There is such a thing as not choosing the worst option out of all possible options. Even if you can’t opt out of all exploitation, you can certainly try not to be at the very end of the “This is terrible” spectrum.
it’s brings another level of anger to me that this child had so much to do in his life for himself that was ready and excited for, but it was taken by somebody who had nothing to offer but pain and suffering to others.
do u ever think about how potato chips do such a great job of cutting the salty, fatty meats in a deli sandwich despite chips being salty and fatty themselves? like how vanilla ice cream cuts the sweetness/richness of a chocolate dessert despite being sweet itself? beautiful
