@umichsieg Inexcusable. I've had more than a few elections where it's not used, but I never assume that it won't be. Set it up and print a test ballot!
The night before an election, no matter how prepared I am, is always one of the more difficult nights to sleep.
Can't wait to get the day started and open the polls. Let's do this, Michigan.
@Nickster0188 I legitimately don't? I'm trying to make sure we're on the same page. If that's not what you meant, I'm sorry. That's why I asked for clarification.
@Nickster0188@CraigDMauger@RyanGirdusky I just want to make sure I understand what you are saying. The ability to cast a secret ballot is absurd? If so, you'd rather the ballot be traceable?
A secret ballot is a pillar of democracy and has been in place in the US since the 1800s.
Michigan! First day of early in person voting for most municipalities begins tomorrow. If you want to vote before election day, physically putting your ballot in a tabulator and knowing that your ballot is error free, 10/26 through Sunday, 11/3, you can.
Go vote!
Very important: today (Oct 7) is last day to register to vote if you live in AZ, AR, FL, GA, IN, KY, LA, MS, OH, TN, TX. Register or check registration here https://t.co/0X3SPIn6O2
Up and at 'em. Today's election day, Michigan! Headed out to put the finishing touches on the precinct before polls open at 7 AM. Hope to see every eligible voter, who hasn't already voted, use their voice today!
@kaitlancollins Extremely out of touch with reality. The Republican party is more focused on social outrage than actually solving problems. Examples include Mr. Potato Head, Dr. Seuss, CRT, litter boxes in schools, books, "DEI"...it's a perpetual outrage machine. No substance. Nothing solved.
New NPR/Marist national poll shows essentially no change in horse race between Biden and Trump, but interesting things within, like:
2/3 say it’s more concerning to have a president who doesn’t tell the truth than one who might be too old to serve.

@ashlee_leeee@Olivianuzzi The problem is that the first mention of disinfectants was in regard to bleach and alcohol. Trump then referred to disinfectants, not the UV light. Yes, both were talked about at this briefing and it's open to interpretation. At best, this was a poorly worded response.
@CisoCto@MILiberals@JohnIsa69517391 What did you find? In Michigan, we cast private ballots. Once the stub is removed, which is done prior to feeding your ballot into a tabulator, that ballot has nothing on it to tie that vote to you. There is no state level identification of who voted for who.
Trump 2025: The preparations are far more advanced and ambitious than previously reported.
The reporting for this series draws on extensive interviews over a period of more than three months on preparations for a potential second Trump term. https://t.co/x39E2Jg8nX
@gelliottmorris Thanks for sharing. I was doing my township redistricting and could not figure out why the total voters across all precincts did not match the township total until I discovered this new differential privacy method. I understand the reasons, but it is going to cause issues.
@ToddTheOdd@umichvoter Resources. Physical voting space and workers, especially for states that have elections run at the municipal, not county, level.
@1BadGmum @CommonCause@RedistrictNet Yes. The Democratic party located illegals across the country strategically in a coordinated effort and have been able to do this discreetly.
what
@Garrett_Archer 1500 is insanity. That sounds like something that someone who has never worked in election administration would think is a smart idea. More physical precincts, workers, supplies, ballot styles, tabulators, etc.
