In the years I’ve been making Stuff The British Stole, the biggest lesson for me has been how much history hides behind politeness—polite plaques, polite speeches, polite monarchs.
I don’t have Lidia Thorpe's life experience, and it’s not appropriate for me to offer commentary on her actions.
But let’s be clear on one thing: the British Empire was not a polite enterprise. Like most, it was built on conquest, power, and, yes, things were truly stolen. Many things that have not been returned or in some cases even acknowledged.
It was not a polite empire.
When artists actually put money in their visuals and Edits coz ?!! We are tired of the typical angles and edits
We need more investment when it comes to visuals
Thank u chinx
I have a theory about why the Sydney Metro has been creating such a moment in the Discourse. Australia has always been in a state of transition, between where we are, and where we're going. Sydney Metro is a glimpse into that future - and how it could be could be very good.
i love sha’carri bc not only is she the best runner in the world (yes, including usain bolt, their 100m dash times are less than 1 second apart & she is only 5’1” while he’s 6’5”) but she does it in fishnets & full glam with her hair down & nails done
