Why is there a side of “leftist” twitter so against fundraisers and mutual aid for those undergoing a genocide? They always argue in bad faith about this and claim that it’s not ending the genocide when no one has ever even insinuated that it does.. these are starving people who line up at community kitchens with no promise that that’ll even be enough for everyone in line because there wasn’t enough donations that week.
They’re people who have no clothes, no blankets, no tents.. people who sleep outside in the freezing cold or the burning heat with no way to remedy it.
They’re people who make long walks to find a station with drinking water, ones who haven’t seen a fresh vegetable, let alone tasted one .. in 6 months. Ones who are buying counterfeit baby formula that’s formulated with random powders that can just get away with being such.

Working with people and donating to people in Sudan and Palestine has been the most fulfilling thing I have gotten out of my advocacy for both. It’ll never be worth less than your threads on twitter about how there’s no point of donating to dying people because they’ll just die anyways..
