Who’s on your bench?
As healthcare professionals, expertise matters; but so does the support system behind it.
Your career isn’t shaped only by what you know, but by who helps you think, decide, recover, and grow through each stage of it.
In the final episode of the LEADderm mini-series, we explore the “bench” every high performer needs and why no one succeeds alone.
We’re joined by clinician Dr Jennifer Soung and business leader Nita Nautiyal to unpack how the right people around you can influence resilience, decision-making, and long-term wellbeing.
We discuss:
• The five roles that strengthen your personal and professional support system
• Why connection is an essential career skill, not a soft extra
• How intentional relationships shape how you respond to challenge
• Why events like LEADderm can be a great starting point for building your network
Take a moment to ask yourself: who’s on your bench and who’s missing?

🔎 Early detection remains one of the most powerful tools in improving melanoma outcomes
When identified at an early stage, melanoma has a 5-year survival rate of approximately 99%. This highlights the critical importance of awareness, self-examination and timely clinical assessment of suspicious skin changes.
Education around warning signs and encouraging proactive skin checks can significantly improve outcomes at both individual and population levels.
During Skin Cancer Awareness Month, we are supporting the campaign led by The Skin Cancer Foundation to promote early detection and save lives.
