Strus has multiple different paths to gaining more minutes in Game 2 as we all witnessed probably one of the worst playoff choke losses ever with CLE dropping Game 1.

He logged 22 mins in regulation, and defensively gives CLE another positive matchup to throw at Brunson as we saw Kenny Atkinson elect to close with Merrill/Harden and the double bigs lineup which NYK exposed.

Strus also has a ton of postseason experience, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to see him pencil into the starting lineup here, but regardless 21-25 minutes which feels like his floor tonight should be more than enough to get this done.

CLE had a TON of 3pt looks in Game 1, those should continue and I love Strus to be a direct beneficiary of that.

We’ve seen Champagnie go O in 6/L7 playoff games, and I love buying in here after Game 1 as his minutes, and volume have remained consistent nightly.

Last game he had 21 PRA shooting 4-12 from the field with an elite 10 RA on 24 potentials.

He’s O in 82% of games (40/49) this year with 28+ minutes on the year. Books have his FGA’s 7.5 (-145) for the O. With 7+ FGA’s he’s O in 39/44 games.

JC has been an elite spacer for SAS, and I really just like the PRA opportunities we’ve seen from him thus far in the series.

We should continue to haul in major rebounding upside weak side too which is another big reason for attacking this spot.
