#Guernsey is an amazing place to visit. With some fantastic weather over lockdown, I have been out & about taking some footage. If you are not sure of what there is to see and do, just take a look at this for some ideas.@VisitGuernsey@DOR_Guernsey@pierreparkhotel @We_Are_Lotus
#Guernsey should definitely be on your bucket list to visit in 2026!!! So much to see and do, you won’t be disappointed. Just a short hop from the UK or France, what’s stopping you?
Overlooked since the 1980s in favour of trips abroad, the Channel Islands have more hours of sunshine than the rest of the British Isles, blinding-white sand beaches, and a nostalgic vibe https://t.co/6JAa44KcSQ
@Nickleh Great book about all those brave people involved in GASP, one of two underground newspapers in Guernsey during the Occupation. Hopefully now with this book and the Blue Plaque, their story will become more well known.
Fantastic to welcome 2 of your beautiful ships into #Guernsey waters last week. On Wednesday the Journey with our friends from Canada onboard and yesterday the Onward where I had the opportunity to take your amazing guests for a private visit to the German Occupation Museum
@Nickleh@history_under@WW2TV@gsywtours@MollyClonk I will watch in full over the next few days, but having watched the first few minutes, a portion of this video is shown in the first room in the museum at the moment.
Great article from Henrietta Easton of Discover Britain @WeLoveBritain highlighting #Guernsey and our WW2 heritage. 🙏 Had a great time showing you around our beautiful island.
"It’s a strange feeling to be driving around an idyllic island, [...] to see grey, concrete bunkers almost every few minutes, hidden in hillsides and looming on cliffs."

@toursofguernsey No problem. I didn't want to answer too many questions in the sidebar, just the ones that were short answers and probably not coming up later. You did a brilliant job of promoting the Island.
🙏 @Nickleh. That was great fun. Thanks for your input about numbers of Channel Islanders who were fighting as part of the British forces. 🤞for more visitors wanting to experience what #Guernsey has to offer, particularly our unique #WW2 heritage.
I will be joining @WW2TV this evening (Tuesday 20th May) at 7pm for a podcast following Paul’s visit to Guernsey last month. Why not join us to learn more and take part in the discussions?

🙏 @history_under it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to show you around just some of the many WW2 sites on the island. If you have not seen any of the videos, go over to their YouTube channel, these are fantastic. #Guernsey@VisitGuernsey#WW2#History
While in Guernsey, we were fortunate to have Amanda Johns of @toursofguernsey showing us around. Amanda is super knowledgable and is doing a lot of good work to help uncover and preserve the WWII structures on the island. If you visit Guernsey, I'd highly recommend booking a tour with her at https://t.co/kzpBEqVerL. You can also catch her on WW2TV tomorrow!

It was a pleasure to host you both in #guernsey last week. I couldn’t agree more Guernsey “is cooler than heck”!!! Especially when it comes to #WW2 fortifications & museums. Looking forward to seeing yours & @WW2TV Paul’s content in the near future. @VisitGuernsey
It's been awhile since I've posted one of these Creator Roundups. Had a new episode of History Traveler drop yesterday, but if you're looking for some more history content for your brain, here are a few episodes that I've caught lately that you might like. And as always, do yourself a favor by subscribing to these channels.
1.) History In Your Hand. In terms of WWI, a lot of attention is placed on the trenches of the Western Front, but have you ever wondered where they ended? Rob has a great video showing where the trenches ran into the sea. Very interesting.

2.) WW2TV - Paul Woodadge. I just returned from a trip to the Channel Islands with Paul Woodadge and holy smokes, that place is cooler than heck. There will be some content coming in the near future from both Paul and I, but in the meantime, he shot some live videos while we were there that you should check out.

3.) Sandervk History. If you like the animated maps shown on History Traveler, the man behind those is Sander of Sandervk History. He recently posted a very interesting video about a WWII naval fight a Scapa Flow. Also, he is REALLY close to that 100,000 subscriber mark. Help a guy out!

4.) American Battlefield Trust. Is there any way to get enough of the American Battlefield Trust? I say no. They just kicked off a new series on Appomattox 160 today. Love this organization and what they do.

5.) Battle Guide. This a channel that has served me well in learning more about WWI and I have to admit, prior to this video, I didn't really know anything about the Battle of Neuve Chapelle. In addition, they have two outstanding podcasts that you should subscribe to as well.

There you go! Plenty to keep your brain occupied today.
Heads up! I’ve been a bit more of a hermit than normal lately but I’ve got a bit of time this evening and thought that we’d do a live stream from the road. Lots that’s been going on! We’ll see you this evening at 5:00 PM Eastern/4:00 PM Central. Provided that my hotel wifi holds up, we’ll see you there!

When your beautiful ocean vessels are visiting #Guernsey guests can take the opportunity to visit Hauteville House, the only house that Victor Hugo ever owned. It is absolutely amazing. @VisitGuernsey
Today is the birthday of legendary French author Victor Hugo, known for his classic novels Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. On the Normandy & Gems of the Seine river cruise, gain insights into his mind at the Victor Hugo Museum in the pretty village of Villequier.
