Defending World Champion Rocker Steiner announced he will sit out the remainder of the 2026 PRORODEO season as he continues recovering from neck surgery. Steiner, who underwent surgery June 4, entered the summer atop the World Standings after earning $122,142 in just eight rodeos. Now, the four-time NFR qualifier is putting his health first with his sights set on a full recovery and a strong return to the arena in 2027.

The Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup delivered in a big way 📷
With $616,000 on the line and just weeks remaining in the PRCA regular season, Puyallup proved pivotal for athletes on both ends of the standings. World leaders strengthened their positions, the NFR bubble shifted and several athletes left Washington significantly closer to Las Vegas.

BAREBACK RIDING
Keenan Hayes and Jess Pope shared the Bareback Riding title after matching 91-point rides in the Finals. Pope earned $17,929 for his second Puyallup win in three years, while Hayes collected $15,735 and climbed to No. 6 in the World Standings.
World No. 1 Bradlee Miller added another $9,115 to his dominant season, pushing his earnings to $274,351 and extending his lead over No. 2 Jacob Lees to nearly $55,000.
The biggest Bareback Riding move came from Garrett Shadbolt. His third-place Finals finish and $12,026 payday moved him past Wacey Schalla and into the No. 15 spot as the NFR bubble continues to tighten.
STEER WRESTLING
Jesse Brown made it back-to-back Steer Wrestling titles in Puyallup. After narrowly advancing through both his bracket and the Semifinals, Brown saved his best for last with a 3.8-second run to dominate the Finals. He earned $17,410 and moved within $18,000 of World No. 1 Tyler Waguespack.
TEAM ROPING
James Arviso and Levi Lord split the Finals victory with Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira after both teams stopped the clock at 4.1 seconds. Each pair earned $14,858, while Driggers and Nogueira remain atop their respective World Standings.
Tanner Tomlinson and Wesley Thorp also made Puyallup history, setting a new arena record with a 3.3-second run in Round Two.
SADDLE BRONC RIDING
Ryder Wright added another Puyallup title to his résumé with an 88-point ride in the Saddle Bronc Riding Finals. The three-time World Champion has now won Puyallup twice in three years and sits within $19,000 of his brother and World No. 1 Rusty Wright.
The Saddle Bronc NFR bubble also got tighter. Zachary Dallas earned $11,866 with a runner-up finish and now sits less than $2,000 outside the Top 15.
TIE-DOWN ROPING
Riley Webb continued his record-setting season in Tie-Down Roping, winning his second consecutive Puyallup Finals with a blistering 7.3-second run. Webb earned $18,726 and became the first Tie-Down Roper and just the third PRCA athlete this season to surpass $300,000 in earnings.
Shad Mayfield made one of the weekend’s biggest standings moves. The two-time World Champion won both of his bracket rounds, collected $10,431 and moved inside the Top 15 for the first time this season after returning from injury in June.
BARREL RACING
Carlee Otero left Puyallup as the new World No. 1 in Barrel Racing. Her 13.85-second Finals run earned her the title and $16,533, moving her past Hayle Gibson-Stillwell for the top spot.
Michelle Alley actually left with the biggest Barrel Racing payday at $16,693 after winning the Semifinals and finishing second in the Finals. She now sits No. 6 in the World.
BULL RIDING
John Crimber dominated the Bull Riding, winning three rounds on his way to the Puyallup title and $17,410. His weekend was highlighted by an event-best 89-point ride in the Semifinals.
And the Bull Riding bubble remains very much alive for Jace Trosclair. He entered Puyallup nearly $22,000 outside the Top 15, but an $8,516 weekend moved him to No. 17 and less than $14,500 from the cut line.
Puyallup is in the books, but its impact on the road to the NFR is just beginning to show.

Riley Webb Rises Again 📷

The three-time defending World Champion left Puyallup with $318,209 in 2026 earnings, breaking his own PRCA regular-season Tie-Down Roping record of $305,132 set just last season. Webb capped the weekend with a 7.3-second run to claim his second consecutive Puyallup Finals title, earning $18,726 across the rodeo while getting the job done aboard his backup horse, Patron. Now nearly $100,000 clear at the top of the World Standings, Webb enters the final stretch of the regular season with another record beside his name and a fourth straight gold buckle within reach.

Sage Kimzey made a strategic decision to sit out Bridgeport to make sure he was fully healthy for Little Rock.

It paid off, and he has now won the last two UTB events he has competed in, racking up 137 points in Little Rock and 138 in Jacksonville.

The 5-for-6 heater has allowed him to open up a lead of 83 UTB Points over John Crimber this season, the largest separation between No. 1 and No. 2 so far in 2026.

The seven-time PRCA World Champion continues to get closer and closer to his first PBR World Title.

Steiner dominated bareback riding with a PRCA-best 15 wins, including RodeoHouston, Greeley, and the Governor’s Cup. The only rider to average over 85 points, he enters his second straight NFR ranked No. 1.

2. Sam Petersen – $221,901
At 22, Petersen broke through to his first NFR after two Top 20 seasons. He ranked Top 5 in wins and Average Score.

3. Bradlee Miller – $207,474
Despite midseason injury, Miller won 14 rodeos. He was one of just four riders to average 84+ points.

4. Jess Pope – $203,629
The 2020 World Champ remains consistent—Top 5 since 2020—with 50 rides of 85+ points and three NFR Average titles to his name.

5. Cole Franks – $200,362
Franks ranked second in 85+ rides and third in Average Score, placing in 21 of 30 NFR rounds in his career.

6. Kade Sonnier – $171,507

The Florida Freedom locked up the regular season championship in PBR Teams last night after John Crimber closed the door on the Outlaws.

Heading into the final game of the regular season Sunday afternoon, the Freedom are 25-9 and have covered a league-best 55.9% of their bulls.

The 2024 Junior World Finals Champion added another impressive achievement to his young career.

Ace Reese stopped the clock at 8.3 seconds in the Finals of the Permit Finals to win the average by 2.5 seconds, finishing with a total time of 27.5 on three head.

The 18-year-old earned $28,000 on his permit in 2025.

Your 2025 Pendleton Roundup Champions!

In bareback riding, Puyallup champion Jacek Frost stayed hot, posting 174 points on two head to win again and climb from No. 16 to No. 13 in the World Standings. Remarkably, he was sitting at No. 23 just 10 days ago.

Next up, young tie-down roper Dylan Hancock turned in 30.4 seconds on three head, putting himself in position to break into the Top 5 in the World.

Q Taylor electrified the crowd in saddle bronc riding with a 91.5-point ride in the Finals, and the energy carried over when hometown cowgirl Bailey Patterson captured the breakaway roping title.

In team roping, Bradyden Schmidt and Jaydon Warner topped a field loaded with NFR-caliber pairs, winning with an aggregate time of 19.1 seconds on three. In steer wrestling, five-time NFR qualifier Stetson Jorgensen pocketed nearly $20,000, jumping from No. 16 back onto the right side of the NFR bubble.

To close out the action in Pendleton, Jordan Spears swept the bull riding with scores of 88 and 86.5, while Tayla Moeykens stopped the clock at 28.45 on the Green Mile to win the barrel racing.

Sunday in Springfield, MO!

To open the day, the Texas Rattlers rode four in a 348.5-86.75 victory over the Carolina Cowboys, bringing them to 2-1 on the weekend and dropping the Cowboys to 0-3.

Game 2 on Sunday featured two of the best teams in the league and for the third time in the last six games, the Florida Freedom rode four, beating the Arizona Ridge Riders 330-170.5 in the process. Both teams are now 12-5.

In Game 3 the best team in the league, the Austin Gamblers, matched up with the worst team in the league, the New York Mavericks. It went the way of the 13-4 Gamblers, 174.25-86.00.

The Oklahoma Wildcatters made it three in a row in Springfield with a dominant victory over the Nashville Stampede. JB Mauney's squad has now jumped to sixth in the league with a record of 7-10 after spending the first five weekends near the bottom.

Things finished out with a rivalry game won by the home team. The Missouri Thunder topped the Kansas City in a matchup where the Thunder rode only their first bull and the Outlaws rode only their last. In the end, it was 85.5-81 to bring the Thunder to 7-10 and Outlaws to 8-9.

The Florida Freedom remained one of the hottest teams in the PBR over the weekend, finishing things off by winning a battle of titans over the Ridge Riders, leaving both teams 12-5.

The Freedom got covered four of their five bulls in the game, making it the third time they have done so in their last six en route to a 330-170.5 victory.

Yan Victor Cunha had the highest marked ride of the game and the day with 89 points on Blonde Bomber.

Wacey Schalla rode two bulls over the weekend, one for 87 at the Ellensburg Xtreme Bulls and the other for 90 to win Walla Walla, the two qualified rides were lucrative, combining to pay him over $17,000!
