@Zoe_anat A 4.5 hour round of golf you are standing over every shot for about 5 minutes, assuming it takes about 5 minutes to simply walk a hole tee to green, 56% of the round is waiting. There is no joy in that
Love that Ireland has some of the best courses in the world and people want to come play them. But the “Americanisation” of green fees to attract American tourists has fucked the game. €400-€450 + to play these courses, that used to be max €150-200 with discounts for GUI members. Now courses are literally increases prices as yanks get think a €250 green fees means the course is not good
@omgsidewalks You think people 200 years ago people worked less than 40 hours a week to survive? Every minute of every day was spent on working for survival. It wasn’t employed/paid work, you had to produce to live.
@HorrorGorl You’re right. They couldn’t stand just sitting around all day doing fuck all, not bothering to learn or work, not being challenged, relying on the state for welfare and to exist.
You are fucking retarded. 1st it was white settlers who fought for the freedom of slaves. Native tribes kept blacks as slaves, as they did whites and other captures. Native tribes did not even align with each other, let alone be some united force with slaves. They warred, butchered and enslaved each other.
That applies in every thing in life. I’m not sure what you mean by generalising a whole group? When someone says the average man’s height is 5’9”, so 50% of men are that height or less, nobody takes the position every man you meet will be 5’9” or less. But there’s a 50% chance they will be
That’s a natural feeling/emotion for someone wanting to be on a positive curve, wanting or expecting more. And at the same time many will have impostor syndrome, “what am i doing here” , “im out of my depth” etc. I’ve heard it from CEO’s and Big firm partners. Or, you’ve got to where you are, which was a goal before that would = happiness, but not feels like it’s not enough, Happiness is not the outcome, when you get to your goal, there will always be new ones. It’s the journey achieving those goals where you feel most fulfilment, not actually reaching them
“Poverty is a social construct driven by wealth hoarding” is the most nonsense statement when every single comparable metric for human welfare for the last 1000 years has drastically improved, even for those living in absolute poverty. 200 years ago 70-90% of the world lived in extreme poverty, even 80 years ago it was about 60%, now it’s 8-9%.
In every western society, where crime data reports on race or ethnicity, immigrants from certain places commit a massive disproportionate amount of crime. They’re not being held to a higher behavioural standard, they are 3-8x more likely to commit crimes (depending on what countries stats you use), and certain immigrants are 15-25% more likely to commit certain crimes (like raps or sexual assault). Sure, we now see immigrant crimes in the news more, because it’s highlighting a major issue that needs to be addressed. Every nation has its own issues, the “ethnic” populations are far from perfect and of course have their own issues and serious crimes. Why add to the problems that already exist?
If you only state facts then be truthful with them. Absolutely, there are plenty of non white people completely innocent, upstanding citizens, and positive for society. And I agree with you, many on the anti migration bandwagon are losers themselves, and often annoyed they are losing out on government welfare because others are getting it. But there has been a considerable deterioration in society and crime is a major contributor to that. And in every single western nation with recorded statistics, blacks commit 4-6 times the violent crime, 3-5 times the fraud and 4-6 times the drugs related offences. That’s just a few. Highlighting that disparity is not a it’s, it’s just facts as you say, and everyone, of all races, not committing these offences should be fighting to fix those issues.
@UESgolf If this is about Phil (and the accusations are shocking and disgraceful), he is
/was known for being one of the kindest, most respectful ambassadors, always carried1k cash to tip everyone at the course, hotel, restaurants etc etc. lots of pros have stories.
@BigSwingTempo I’m a 3 handicap and love them, and I always complain about pace of play. The game is meant to be fun, that’s exactly what scrambles are. They’re pure aggression and high risk shots, let the imagination play the game. I think the bigger issue is the bullshit cheating in them.
@SlickRickFowler I figured out this arrangement/gapping was what fitted my game about 4 years ago. 52 as bottom wedge leaves about 25 yards gapping to pw. That being said I still haven’t changed set up, because I’m a clown.
If you arrive home and I am sitting in your living room, feet on your couch, eating your food and watching your tv, you’d wonder what going on right? We both would know I’m not meant to be there. You and your family spend 11 minutes talking to me, asking me to leave, and I just tell you to make me, and tell you you’ll see what happens if you try to move me. Are you the aggressor or am I?
