I'm grateful to the Federal government SWAp Coordination Office and the National Health Fellowship Programme for this transformative opportunity to contribute to our healthcare system and empower my community.#HealthFellowsShowOfHands#SWAp Coordination Office #Osun#EdeSouthLGA
Two months ago, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, (@officialABAT) inaugurated the 774 National Health Fellows #NHF —one for each local government area—as a strategic investment in youth leadership for health. This milestone is a flagship intervention under the Renewed Hope Agenda and a practical expression of the National Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (#NHSRII), which prioritises primary health care, data-driven governance, and sustainable human capital development.
Today, I am pleased to report that under the coordination of the Sector-Wide Approach (#SWAp) Secretariat (@SWApgov), the National Health Fellows have now entered the next phase of their deployment—steadily building momentum across the country. These young professionals are on track to complete their asynchronous learning modules in leadership, public health fundamentals, and data analytics. As of April 30th, 2025, 73.61% of all planned modules have been completed, complemented by live sessions to reinforce learning and practical application within the local health governance ecosystem.
To ensure their learning is contextually grounded and not theoretical, each fellow has been paired with an experienced mentor drawn from a pool of 155 distinguished health sector leaders. By the end of April, over 2,145 structured engagements between fellows and mentors had taken place. Additionally, more than 6,000 follow-up calls have been made to monitor progress, resolve operational bottlenecks, and ensure that the initiative remains responsive to real-time needs.
We are deeply grateful to the State Commissioners for Health, the leadership of @AlgonNationalHQ@Algon_Nigeria, and Nigeria’s traditional institutions whose collaboration has enabled the seamless integration of the fellows into their host communities. Their presence is not just symbolic, it has been transformative.
As the fellowship advances, the focus is now shifting to capstone projects. Already, several fellows are demonstrating bold leadership by identifying context-specific challenges and co-creating solutions with stakeholders, signaling the emergence of a new cadre of health champions rooted in service and innovation.
In the months ahead, we in the health sector remain firmly committed to actualising the full vision of Mr. President’s investment in this initiative. We look forward, with resolve and conviction, to the contributions these fellows will make in shaping the future of Nigeria’s health system.

@d_ocheido You are made for more. Never settle for less.
Partner with the Holy Ghost so that He overshadows you and that divine thing God has invested into you will be birthed.
@d_ocheido Invest in yourself
Wear a smile.
Look good.
Smell nice.
Do your hair.
Dress nice.
Do that skincare.
Wear clothes your size.
There's no glory in looking bad.
One thing I struggled with as I landed in Canada was purchasing
Yes, like to buy stuff
My head would not just stop conversion of Dollar to Naira
When I want to buy “sweet” and I see $3 the Nigerian in me would quickly do the math
And I’m like “how can I be licking sweet of 5000 naira?
How can I eat biscuit of 15,000 in one sitting??
On and on it went
It was such a struggle
I had to repeatedly tell myself,
“you’re not in Nigeria and this is not naira you want to spend”
It took a while but my brain switched
And the Holyspirit brought something powerful to my heart
Child of God, can I preach to you today ????

This happens to a lot of us
When you come into Christ, the Bible tells us that “for He that is in Christ is a new creature, old things are passed away and all things have become new”
Sometimes, our minds have lived in Babylon for too long
And so even after you come to Christ, it doesn’t want to change
You keep doing “conversions”
Your lips still want to talk like the Babylonians
The sounds of Egypt are still ringing in your ears
Your spiritual reality has changed but your mind is stuggling to catch up
And this discourages a lot of people because they are confused at what is happening
That’s why the Bible says “ And be ye Renewed by the transformation of your mind”
The devil is still lying to you and reminding you of your guilt
Evil spirits still want to come and torment you at night
You need the WORD
You need to be loaded and soaked in God’s word
You identity has changed
Your location has changed because you’re now seated with Christ in heavenly places
You need to constantly renew that mind in the word
And tell the devil , my address has changed
I know I was so bad
I know I’ve made mistakes
But Jesus calls me new now and so I’m new in Christ
When the devil wants to shout his lies to you, scream back the truth of Gods word!
Send that devil back to hell!
I remain your Sister in Christ, #womanengraced
