A District-Level Operational Group and NCORD meeting was held on 29.05.2026 at the SP Office Conference Hall, North Tripura, under the chairmanship of SP North, CO. 13th Bn TSR, Officers from District Police, SB, BSF, TSR,Intelligence agencies and other stakeholders attended.

28.05.26, act on confidential info. OC Panisagar PS a/w staff accompanied by the SDPO Panisagar conducted a search at Panisagar Rly Stn. During the operation 01 suspected individual was searched and a total 19 kg cannabis was recovered which market value Rs. 3,80,000/-.

On 28/05/2026, acting on secret info. OC Panisagar PS a/w along with staff intercepted a vehicle & conducted a thorough checking a total- 40 cartons of Burmese cigarettes were recovered and seized which black market value around ₹40 lakhs. A case has been regd. U/s 106 BNSS.

Damcherra PS Case No.2024DMC015,regd. U/s- 305/317(2) BNS dtd.01.07.24 the Ld. court of the JM 1st Class, Kanchanpur, North Tripura has convicted the accused on a plea of guilt. The Court has awarded the Simple Imprisonment for 06 (six) months along with a fine of ₹ 1,000/-.

18/05/26, acting on credible source information at West Bagan under Kadamtala PS, OC Kadamtala PS along with staff a total- 48,750 suspected YABA tablets were recovered & seized which black market value approximately ₹2.5 crore.A specific case has been regd. under the NDPS Act.

In a successful anti-liquor raid at Satnala led by SDPO Kanchanpur, Kanchanpur PS seized 396 bottles of illicit liquor and one vehicle. Three persons were arrested and legal action has been initiated under the T.E Act.

Under the leadership of Shri Avinash Rai, SP North Tripura, the Cyber Cell of North District, in close coordination with the Police Stations, has successfully recovered 30 mobile phones through the CEIR Portal, with an estimated market value of approximately ₹ 6 lakh.

On 10/05/26, acting on credible information the transportation of contraband YABA tablets, officers of Bagbassa PS along with staff detained 02 persons
with suspected Total- 9800 Yaba tablets which black market value of the seized contraband is approximately ₹50 lakh.

On 09/05/26 acting on credible source reg. the transportation of contraband YABA tablets at Raktacherra under Panisagar PS the supervision of SDPO Panisagar total - 19,000 suspected YABA tablets seized which approximately ₹1 crore. A case has been regd. under the NDPS Act.

In connection with Dharmanagar PS Case No. 2022DMN060 regd. U/s-457/380/392/411 IPC dated 19.04.22, the Ld. Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, North Tripura, Dharmanagar, has convicted the accused on a plea of guilt 03 (three) years along with a fine of ₹10,000/-.

Panisagar PS officer a/w staff conducted a surprise vehicle checking operation at NH-08 Naka under Panisagar PS jurisdiction. The operation aimed to prevent the movement of illegal goods, detect numberless vehicles, and ensure strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations.

On 22.04.26 Panisagar PS displayed prompt response & commendable dedication by tracing & recovering a missing minor girl from the Panisagar area within 24 hrs. of lodging the report. After completing all necessary legal formalities the girl was safely reunited with her guardians.
