"Trend following is a type of hunting technique - setting a trap in the market for a particular condition to arrive and then being the opportunistic predator who takes advantage of that, a bit like a spider setting a web."

@mikeharrisNY As a speculation/gambling, cavet emptor. However that's not what is being promoted. Store of value, inflation hedge uncorruptable. All of which is laughable. It has all the earmarks of a corrupt market.
@ZubyMusic Yea but with all the women who want to take over male roles we should be all good right?
Or they want what they consider the upside of those roles without considering the downside. So yea future gens are screwed
@mickeycrimm Great article! I actually bought his book a couple of years ago. Total BS waste of time. I'll buy books that may not look great just for the hell of it. Sometimes there's a nugget or 2 that makes it worth it. Not his. Pure trash.
@normonics@interpretantion That is the way natural immunity seems to work after you contract Covid... I have not seen anyone claim that the vaccines now out there worldwide do that. Maybe a sterile live attenuated vaccine would work that way. But that's a ways off.
@mikeharrisNY People underestimate the psychological effects of drawdowns. Personally when I hit about 12-15% I start questioning everything. It can really screw with you. Best thing for me is to look at market environment then ask are my systems doing what is expected given the 1/2
@normonics@mikeharrisNY@localism Highly recommend reading Mao's little red book and everything by Col. David Hackworth...especially Hackworths thoughts on out G-ing the G.
@normonics@mikeharrisNY@localism Something we have to consider. Where are we in the war? Beginning, middle, late stage? Is the war actually over and this is just mop up battles? Just reread Garet Garrets "The revolution was." A chilling read
