Children are anxious. Parents are stressed. Birthrates are at record lows.
The problem is our family unfriendly culture. Parenting culture is too intense. Mating & Dating culture is dysfunctional. And our values are too individualistic.
So I wrote a book. https://t.co/NVxHV9BIqh
The Irish-Introvert's Goodbye.
I actually agree with Katie about not wanting to start an exodus. I don't think this is a problem if you're leaving very early, but at some point the party enters into the *still going* phase -- at that point, one departure can cause an exodus.
I wonder if people agree: I think if you are leaving a party early it’s rude to say goodbye to the host. You don’t want to signal to anyone it’s time to go. Instead immediately upon departure send them a text thanking them and regrets for having to duck out early.
I always suspect that anyone talking about taxing the rich is just trying to get their foot in the door to tax everyone, so I was wondering where is most of the income that isn’t yet taxed? It ain’t with the rich.
I think about @TPCarney's book about 7 times / day. He lays out a family/society/life model that is about opposite of how I started out and most Western people live.
I had it wrong and he has it right.
Read his work if you are concerned about birth rates, housing prices, a civil society.
NEW: The Trump administration just delivered a big win for kratom companies (including one that @SecMullinDHS is an investor in) that courted the president's team.
@DEAHQ today advanced plans to ban a popular rival drug, 7-OH, while leaving kratom alone. https://t.co/Z3LaLYL0iE
In the World Cup this year, I’m rooting for the United States of America, which is the greatest nation in the history of the world. Secondarily, I am rooting against Europe.
