I was wondering why are they making a big deal about a job that will be finished in under a month then it hit me, confession through projection. If the CA dems ran this project it would take months or years. They fully expected a empty pool all summer at the peak of DC tourism. Couple of things:
the classics were written for an elite, literate and highly cultured audience who were not seeking amusements but rather knowledge, even if that knowledge was propaganda in their service 🤷‍♂️

There were few books available for them so they became the patron to the arts, literature etc.
some books became mass market as they wer reproduced, frequently unfaithfully reproduced and/or plagiarized by industrious merchants.
Much of the great works were written for an audience far off in the future - to extend thru time and space.

This should not mean the history and hey wrote about was “factual” or even that the literary works aren’t even better today in their contemporary translation and performance. We have more words today - drawn from the body of languages.

Any history of note could not be the 1619 project because even their frivolous history had to correspond to true across vectors and what wasn’t true would be forgiven as creative indulgence. History and truth requires friction and this is easy to bring to life, friction cannot be theater set pieces or props.
What I mean is that in the last decade+ history has been reshaped to a narrative rather than analytical.

There are essentially two types of historiography that compete in the media and in true academia
A. Analytical/monographic
B. Narrative/social history

In a tribal system that exists in tension with “reality”
- as data widens the demand for narrative and social histories *increases* and the analytical diminishes in proportion. I would think that

Social history in its forms requires the storyteller and all the devices of that craft AND it requires the affirmation of similarly intention’d horizontal thinkers and Fuentes'ian and Tucker'ish listicle curators and social media citation stuffers.

Tuckers shtik is "i said that then, now i regret it", he is not the father of the contrivance but he has nurtured an audience that truly rejects 'analytical' history (high complexity) and instead accepts 'narrative history' (anti-complexity guised in the garb of knowledge and in the gaps is player/viewer/follower confabulation.

Tucker is true because his guests says he is true.
His guests are true because Tucker says his guests are true.
Nothing has to correspond to 'fact', rather fact becomes an interpretive dance of the idiot. And this is the toxic masculinity pivot.
Then vs now is simply a product of an Inference-process attack and a combinatorial explosion of bullshit.

Tucker treated martyrmade nonsense as an exigesis on Chamberlain.

Social history of his type preserves “far from equilibrium conditions” or disequilibrium.

- theory of reflexivity is not unique to financial instruments, it also exists in the social domain (trends, momentum positive/negative feedback etc).

As in Covid - it is undesirable that something be 'true'
- because lies are hospitable to the continual addition of more narrative aids (distortion between reality and mind) by its game players. Any new evidence that Covid was being exaggerated was met with new information (not true) that swallows up any of the bad arguments logical and evidentiary failures. It was nonstop emplotment, which drove me bonkers but here we are.

a. the Problem with “Truth” is that it advances to ‘finality’.
b. Lies don’t have this limitation.

Just as Arendt wrote about the fetishization of truth, i think there is also a fetishization of lies. Maybe such a thing hasnt ecisted in history before because lies require discretionary time of the type that was not in abundance in earlier times amngst the working class?
Middle class is a new invention, as is leisure time. An empty closet is the bane of a hoarder's existance

Importantly, a function of all of this to elite embedded ideas in the frontal lobes of its clients

A. “toxic masculinity” before
B. now bemoaning the lack of masculinity in society
- coterminous.
and its all engineered for the deindividuation. You become the norms of the group.

If you’re seeking truth, when bullshit calls you hang up the phone.
if your seeking to participate in the Dungeons and Dragons’y game of lies you need to be armed with the conceptual framework and vernacular of the lie and hierarchy of the players, you take the call.

So how can they one thing and say the opposite soon after?

Because social media, abetted by its influencers and industrious agents can collapse time.

Cognitive dissonance no longer requires thoughts in conflict at the same time
- because in such a state the mind looks to return to “normalcy” (equilibrium)
- so what happens is once the mind has found that a new series of all consuming ideas are implanted.
This is why cognitive dissonance is the termination of one thing and the inception of another.

- there is no avenue for escape if you get in, have you ever heard of the freidman effect:
arrange casinos like mazes, where even the paths to toilets and exits would spiral and meander through rows of enticing games machines. Such an overwhelming environment would keep people distracted from themselves, so they’d remain instinctual rather than intentional, and hence compliant rather than resistant.

Russiagate, Covid, BLM, Ukraine, anti-Israel protests. These are engineered to deplete a groups capability for resistance. Toxic masculinity was particular ironic as effectively there are only two shaving companies out there - and they both spent millions promoting awareness of toxic masculinity and supplicated by the very same people who are now bemoaning the loss of out society's 'masculainity.

People’s minds can only hold a few thoughts at a time so media wants to occupy all that real estate

ideas are implanted in a host’s mind and once introduced the vesssl can not distinguish the provenance of the ideas it holds.

So then, ideas can imperceptibly shift to their contrary. The ideas aren’t the host’s, instead the invasive ideas have intermingled with the persons own ideas and their identity and their emotional and intellectual reserves
- like the guests at a cocktail party.

It is also important that the ideas be inflexible
- intolerant of argument of any kind.
- it must also have room to quickly es skate to violence
- as violence has never had so many ways to express itself.
- it must also be quick to iterate and lock out anybody not in agreement with the doctrine(s).

An Overton window is not static, it is dynamic, a plant continuously repotted.

Anyhoo, the only sensible thing is to accept people for what they are, adults don’t change, they only distort, deflect and distort and obfuscate.

Our minds are not puncture proof or self sealing tires.
If you allow bad thinking in, it becomes yours and it soon becomes impossible to extricate.
It takes hundreds of hours of guided meditation and effort etc to clean the palette

Probably lots of typos and no doubt rambles into incoherence, but its late so whatever
