Why are politicians different to the rest of us? No one leaves a job in their 50’s and gets a guaranteed sum for the rest of their lives, unless they’re lucky enough to be retiring and have some super behind them.

The same rules should apply to all, those in positions of political power should not have get anything guaranteed, especially when they have run the state into the ground.

No one should be awarding, corruption or incompetence.

Be judged by your actions, like every normal person is and learn actions have consequences. This is completely missing from the political system and needs to change.

Removing negative gearing will only increase rents as tax savings losses will be added to rent prices . Allowing it on new properties only will mean first homebuyers are going to have to compete with investors looking for tax breaks. Which will mean prices on new builds will be going up.
