Lot of comments about having OU ranked 4th, so I’ll briefly explain my reasoning.

Every Oklahoma game is a race to 21 points.

You don’t need Mateer to be a worldbeater, just a little more consistent than last year. I don’t expect much from the run game, but the OL takes a step given its youth a year ago.

The constant is the defense. They’ll win 10 games alone if the offense scores 21 points in every game. Thats where my confidence in their ranking stems. It’s one of the best units in the conference.

OU completely revamped their program over the past several years.

With the additions of Nagy, Denny and countless other “new” positions…

It’s quite clear this 2027 class has been the direct response to their efforts.

Oklahoma really might return to prominence if it holds down the blue collar athletes and competes for 3+ 5 stars per cycle.

I’m very proud of their efforts and I can’t wait to see where the program evolves too.
