1/ Pizza Pets is the first digital pet on Bitcoin.
Multiplayer, deflationary, and 100% on-chain.
Thanks to the latest Ordinals protocol upgrades, this game brings something entirely new to Bitcoin.
Let's explain how it works 🧵👇
OMB FREE ROSS is my new Digital ID.
It goes HARD, is unique, culturally relevant, and is my personal grail of grails.
I joined Ordinals in early Feb along with @ZK_shark, so I felt obligated to join the movement.

Here's my thesis on why OMB:
The overarching thesis I adhere to is the absolute victory of Digital Artifacts (Ordinals) over NFTs in the next 2 years.
@OrdinalMaxiBiz isn't just new CryptoPunks but on Bitcoin.
It's the NEXT GEN CryptoPunks, a modern equivalent for the next crypto class.
As I believe we won't witness the downfall of PFPs.
But it's gonna be a massive revolution.
What will remain:
► The desire for decentralized ownership of digital assets.
► The concept of Digital ID.
► The need for like-minded individuals to come together in token-gated communities.
What will be swept away:
► 99% of generative PFP projects based on animal PFPs, hype, and buzzwords.
Where does OMB fit into this?
TLDR;
► OMB will lead the new wave, which we will fully observe when the class of 2025 enters the market. For the new wave, it will be what CP was for the 2020 class.
► Generative PFPs were cool, but they had their flaws. 1/1s bring an entirely new emotional charge and Indeterminate Artistic Value.
► In OMB, just like in CryptoPunks, the form is minimalist and has a chance to become equally timeless and frequently copied (which will only increase the value of the original).
► OMB doesn't deceive with the vision of creating a family-friendly brand for everyone. It's a completely different vibe, closer to the roots of crypto. There are a bunch of big-brain outliers in our community, so there will be a demand for OMB.

Think how contemporary culture changes and cyclically evolves, not just in crypto.
Fashion, aesthetics, music - cycles are everywhere.
Generational changes, each bring a strong cultural shift.
And the boomers complain that things were better in the past.
I see those boomers in some NFT maxis. They live in their bubbles, thinking that what is now will always be.
But it won't - it has never been that way.
New people will emerge (just think of the class of 2025).
They won't be keen on pumping the bags of older peers (excluding the <1% of existing projects that will print big time).
They'll come with their fresh bags because who's going to stop them. The market will decide.
We're facing a cultural, generational shift.
Challenging the status quo represented by generative trait-based animal-themed PFPs.
Such cultural changes are preceded by disruptors and visionaries.
Rick Rubin founding DefJam in his dorm room was a disruptor.
Larva Labs were disruptors in 2017.
I consider OMB to be such a disruptors.

What is this great change about?
Generative PFPs had their burdens and imperfections.
In the act of pseudo-randomly generating traits, beautiful and repulsive JPGs could be created with equal probability.
The introduction of curation helped eliminate most of the ugly pieces from collections (I think @y00tsNFT is a collection that showed how curation should be done).
But still, can all pieces from a generative PFP collection serve as a digital ID?
Even with an infinite range of tastes, I'm afraid not.
Even if the artist did an amazing job creating the traits, not every combination has to be aesthetically pleasing or stand out (when choosing a digital ID, we want to be ourselves, not one of an army of clones).
It's different with 1-of-1s.
Each 1/1 is a finite realization of the artist's concept.
The artist, who doesn't have to focus on the technical aspects of building layers of traits, has more possibilities, more space to create a work that stands out, reaches the audience, evokes emotions.
y00ts did a perfect set of 1/1s, each with its own character.
The question is, how much can a collection of 1/1s be scaled?
A lot depends on the vision and concept.
Simplicity, directness, and coherence emanate from OMB.
In my opinion, that's the biggest similarity with CryptoPunks - a simple form. CryptoPunks' art became iconic, and I see the potential for the same in OMB.
My argument doesn't concern OMB's art - its reception is extremely subjective and ultimately comes down to a juxtaposition of conflicting opinions and a lack of conclusions.
Artistic value is indeterminate.
However, each OMB is unique, each has its character, and each one I've seen has so much expression that one can imagine a person identifying with it.
One could risk saying that people buy OMB with their hearts and imagination.
They find a piece of themselves and a vision they want to radiate around them in these JPGs.
The concept of a "grail" becomes purely subjective because if you vibe so much with a piece, it can be your grail.
If you present it to others properly, it can become their grail - there's no concept of rarity, there's complete freedom.
Social consensus, not an algorithm, will decide what is a grail and what isn't.
For me, FREE ROSS is a grail above all grails.
Although it's just an opinion, one cannot deny its cultural relevance.
Apart from shadows, hoodies, and miners, I believe that OMBs referencing Bitcoin culture will be highly valued.
–––
But why all this talk about culture when about 95% of people are here just to flip NFTs and extract liquidity from individuals blindly believing in "the culture"?
I dare to disagree.
Culture bois are on top of the crypto game, and they know how to make $$.
Culture bois make conscious decisions and stand by their theses.
Culture bois build, and when they sell their PFPs, they do it at Christie's, mfer.

Nextly, OMB is a different vibe.
The vibe we needed, getting sick of "NFT companies" trying to deceive us with the vision of creating a family-friendly brand for everyone.
I mean >99% of NFTs, but not all - there are guys like @frankdegods and @LucaNetz. who know what they're doing, and I believe they have a chance at success.
But that's a completely different story from OMB, whose message is chaotic, outrageous, and hermetic.
It's a brand for outliers, internet wanderers, and cypherpunks who believe that Bitcoin is freedom.
There is and will be demand for such a brand because that's the root of this culture.
The crypto revolution didn't start with animal jpegs and feel-good quotes; it started with computer geniuses locked in their rooms, exchanging untraceable emails, coding in terminals, with anti-state and pro-absolute individual freedom beliefs in their heads.
It wasn't pretty; it wasn't easily digestible, and it wasn't mainstream.
It was raw.
Not every actor in this spectacle wore a white hat.
But the goal was beautiful, idealistic - a medium of exchange free from rampant inflation.
A financial system that wouldn't succumb to systemic manipulation.
Bitcoin was an idea of freedom that matured in the minds of cypherpunks for decades and manifested itself through Satoshi's fingers.
That punk spirit lived on for a long time - if you were here in 2016 and earlier, you remember how it looked back then - you see the same spirit in OMB art.
Maybe you feel it, maybe you don't.
The market doesn't care.
I know there are many who dig this ethos, and new ones are coming.
According to my thesis, there are enough of them to create a demand that will reward early and devoted supporters.
–––
OMB FREE ROSS is my digital ID because it's perfect, it's a symbol of the revolution that was, is, and will continue to be.
A revolution of which I am a part.
And from now on, I go as PHREE, not Gorge.
