The imagery of having your 2027 main character DEAD on starting the game is very telling.

This scene keeps angering me the more I think about it. The timing to sync up PERFECTLY in the story for Kratos to die, spawn next to Faye when she didnt spawn there on her death, and then for him to be perfectly aware of the exploding situation and help her then leave without a word is baffling.

It screams of the devs saying "see here's Kratos in the game." Are there any rules in this afterlife? Any real stakes?
