@missioncasillas@GoldyHappens As a coach, you make it known to your players that you don’t bunt 3-1 or unless you have a sign with 2 strikes. That’s stuff you ingrain in the team in camp.
@MrAzSports With this expected class there will be a little room for error if you get the #1/2 pick. Big bodied, arm talent, with little flaws especially with a bright offensive minded head coach that would leverage strengths and masks weaknesses until they improve
@DamonDawg@PHNX_Dbacks I don’t see how they stay competitive this year. Injuries have killed them and do not have pitching. Weak division but do think Seattle pulls away.
+ their farm system is barren
@DamonDawg@PHNX_Dbacks Aim for the stars my friend, pun intended. Gallen and Gurriel off the books next year. As if they could be any better, just think what that would do for Marte and Carroll as far as protection is concerned. Three thumpers to go a long with elite athleticism for the rest of roster.
He’s our best platoon option as it stands vs RHP unless they go with Ketel at DH. Yall were clamoring for ADC in beginning of year and his 40% strike out rate. There’s elements of a lineup you need, when you have guys that are high chase and can’t tax bullpens.
Would I like to end the experiment by getting a guy for the middle of the order, yes. But until that happens I’ll continue to support Pavin as I’m not a simpleton who doesn’t understand lineup construction and what it takes to score runs to win games.
The guy above literally got mad at an RBI walk and would’ve preferred he chased balls out of the zone and struck out or made soft contact. It’s wild
@BrendanPHX Yordan. Will cost a lot but just imagine the protection he’d provide to Carroll for the next 3+ years. Hits better against lefties don’t worry about the left on left. Will cost an arm and a leg but well worth it. Think Troy or Lawlar +3-4 top 10 prospects.
deflection! What you should be talking about today is Gerry’s 3-1 bunt with one out. Arenados double play. Tommy Troy force out. Them starting Barrosa + not pinch hitting for him in 7th with 1 out and two on. But no, you focus on a guy who went 0-1 with an RBI and a strong at bat against a guy he shouldn’t have faced if they pinch hitting for him in 7th.
@MrAzSports My parents didn’t teach me that I should be buying parking lots next to venues but I wish they would’ve. Have friends that own some and it’s a cash cow.
@shoewizard59 Dropped close to 2 mph in already bottom 10 percentile bat speed. Would be interesting to see if his adjustments in Summer League is causing that or that there’s more hesitation trying to break out of it. Need to see him work center/left to break out of this.
