New season, new coaching opportunity-tweet!

I am still casting CS on Danish streams. Staying sharp and preparing for my next coaching job.

Staying patient because I don't want to rush into an unstable project.

Head coach. Assistant. I’m open to anything CS-related - also grinding with an upcoming team, chasing those precious VRS points.

Keeping it short here, so reach out to me if you would like to know my philosophy, my resume, results and elaboration of how I can be of value to you.

DMs open.

Retweets are also carrying me, appreciate them!

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

Fun fact: Rubiano is a Guinness World Record holder! He walked 175 km on a treadmill in 24 hours.

XPC is also where it all started for me. An absolutely legendary internet café! I remember watching many of these players.

MOUZ have looked better than they have in a long time, great tournament from them - vitality are just fucking really hard.

Losing both pistols on cache, easy win.

Losing both pistols on d2, still winning.

FURIA, falcons and spirit will have to show another level at the major - which they will.

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

This 2-man B defence from flameZ and apex is out of this world. Honestly insane.

Miss me with the angle that parivision are bad.

AWPing in CS2 is harder than it’s ever been. Unless you’re ZywOo, m0NESY or sh1ro, you’re going to struggle. Tactically the game is constantly evolving.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m old school or just because of my competitive mindset, but I’ve always enjoyed analyzing the game, finding the easy picks, taking the best fight available or being patient and waiting for another.

Why make the game harder for yourself?

You can get away with being a much less mechanically skilled player if you do these things correctly. Your hours are better spent building your foundation. Evaluate every move you make and ask yourself if there was a better option.

Today, especially in FACEIT and lower tiers, individual monsters often don’t get punished properly. You can take a lot of difficult fights and still get away with it.

But Tier 1 is a completely different game.
If you haven’t developed those habits, teams will abuse you relentlessly. Most players don’t even know how to improve this, or how to approach it beyond their current baseline of understanding.
Sure, everyone at a semi-pro/pro level has a basic understanding of the game.

But the tactical depth of CS is enormous, and most players never truly understand how deep it goes. You might think you do, but odds are you really don't.

When you’re having an off game and keep forcing difficult fights, your level can fall off tremendously.

Being a great AWPer isn’t just about hitting the hard shots.

It’s about understanding which shots you SHOULD'NT take.

Most disgusting national team ever seen, combined with worst referee performance ever? What the fuck was that! Upsetting.

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

Field trip today.

Sun is shining.

Kids see goats and shouts Ronaldo.

I yell Karrigan back at them.

They look at me with strange looks.

Today is a good day.

Heartbreak for G2! Playing well and could've won both d2 and mirage. And that was before magixx 1v4! That one is going to sting for a while.

Can't believe Spirit survived that.

What a game!

WHAT THE FUCK!!!

Sure, some of them are bad and poorly played, but I've seen plenty of these screenshots that are misleading, with trades happening immediately after just to make it look worse than it is.

[CS2 NEWS @CS2News_EN]

❗️ zonic on unnecessary rounds lost: "I guess it's only us who get screenshots on Twitter".

"This is a huge topic, especially for me. Tried pretty much everything, banning them from playing FACEIT and whatnot, so it's good to see that we stepped up massively in this, also winning disadvantage situations, but also closing out these rounds that we are not supposed to win.

Of course, we lose them here and there, but I guess it's only us who get screenshots on Twitter, because I see a lot of other teams, especially this tournament who have blundered".

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

G2 winning both pistols on ancient AND mirage AND losing all 2nd rounds is bonkers!

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

Karrigan IGL'ing 4 new players, winning and 0,69 rating - "Karrigan is so trash"

SunPayus extremely comfortable, awp, losing and 0,74 rating. - *crickets*

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

What the actual fuck 0-12 to 16-12 with elimination and advancement on the line. Generational fumble!

It's crazy that a player like elige crashes out at stage 1 of the major.

But then you remember that frozen nor twistzz isn't even at the major.

What a time to be alive.

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

Just kidding..

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

Liquid abysmal performance into unwinable 1v2 for elige into 2-1 for liquid, any takers?!

[Martin "trace" Heldt @traceCS2]

The problem for other teams is that they’re playing catch-up to Vitality.

Some teams try to beat them with gimmicks, different playstyles, or heavy anti-stratting. The problem is that those things might work once or twice (if they work at all since they're so far ahead), but they won’t beat Vitality in the long run.

The only way to catch up is through months of hard work, difficult practice, and mentally tough scrims.

You need to change the way you practice.

Do you think Vitality is the greatest team to ever play CS because they have the best player in every position? No. They’re an incredible unit. They’re on the same page in almost every situation.

Every pro player has a baseline level of understanding of the game: rotations, communication, positioning, clutching, and so on. But the game is constantly evolving. If you don’t keep evolving beyond your baseline, you’ll never get there. You might stay at the top, but you’ll never become truly great.
The challenge is that this process is extremely difficult. Many players don’t know how to do it, don’t think it’s necessary, or simply can’t see the strategic depth required. Even if they do, improving it takes time and uncomfortable practice.

While learning, you’ll take hits. You’ll lose more scrims, frag less, make more mistakes, and probably have more arguments. With tournaments every month, it’s tempting to avoid difficult practice  that might hurt confidence or team morale. You have to be happy to perform at your best.

Now imagine trying to raise the level of two or three players who struggle to understand that deeper layer of the game. Do you even have a captain or coach who can articulate it, or understand it? And if you do, the process still takes months.

At the same time, you can’t forget the things you’re already good at. You have to keep reminding yourself what makes you play well, and do it in scrims. You can’t spend all your time experimenting and smashing your head against a wall.
Confidence is built through months of improvement. But if you never leave your comfort zone, you’ll never move beyond your baseline.

And this isn’t about creating new tactics, gimmicky plays, or fancy utility. Every pro is doing that. It’s about evolving your strategic understanding of the game. It’s about learning how to react in difficult situations, understanding rotations and reactions on a deeper level.

Develop an edge that can’t be anti-stratted.

Sure, karrigans individual level at the moment isn't good enough, but you have to be kind of dumb to think he has to peak right now, when he just joined a new team as IGL.

Falcons need to settle in before we see his actual level. Even the major is too soon for him. Too much for him to focus on in the server.

Let's see in 4 months.

Faze win 4 pistols and lose 6-13 8-13 :O
