#CSUJTC316fresh not only are there racist stereotypes in Fresh Off the Boat but there are gender stereotypes as well

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316fresh there are many stereotypes seen in Fresh Off the Boat from the parents on television to the kids and their girlfriends

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Slanted seeing how Asian male characters interact with white female characters in movies is interesting - how does this affect stereotypes - what we see on screens does effect our thoughts

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Slanted its interesting looking at what roles Asian actors have played and how they have been portrayed in Hollywood's movies?

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Slanted I find it interesting that Hollywood has rarely cast Asian men/actors and if they were casted it was most likely that they had a small role

#csujtc316reel this film opened my eyes to all the movies that have portrayed Native Americans in a different light, using many stereotypes

[Tabby @traceetab]

#csujtc316reel Native Americans in real life are different than Native Americans portrayed in the Hollywood movies today - Hollywood is said to fascinated with who the Native Americans are and their culture

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Reel "he believed he was what he saw on the screen" Do people mold to what society's expectations are for them? I think often times the answer can be yes

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Reel cowboys vs. indians is a very common stereotype and theme among the media and within today's culture

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Reel in the movies most Native Americans are portrayed as excellent horseman but in reality many Native Americans in today's age have not even ridden a horse

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Reel "feel like a true indian" I wonder what he meant by that

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316 "fear always works" does it?

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Zoo Hopps did not even consider that bunnies could go savage but when she went home she realized she was wrong - it could be anyone not just the minorities

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Zoo the press conference scene revealed biases that Hopps has had all along, even when the fox, her friend, was talking with her afterwards she still reached for fox spray

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316Zoo from the outside it appears that predators and prey all get along but once in Zootopia, Hopps comes to the realization that that may not be the reality

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316ZOO "a bunny can call another bunny cute but when other animals do it [it's not right]" this can be a parallel to society in many ways

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316ZOO Zootopia is showing the repercussions of trying to do something outside of what society tells you you should do; society is telling the bunny she can't be a cop and she is facing many repercussions

[Tabby @traceetab]

#CSUJTC316ZOO the beginning of Zootopia is showing that there are stereotypes associated with gender and race; the stereotypes addressed are in professions specifically

Parents in Blackish are teaching their kids how blacks should "correctly respond" to police because of their position in society - this show does a good job explaining different sides about the arguments and concerns of police brutality #CSUJTC316Hope
